Re: Back Door Team
Rose was lucky. She came from a world where most of the bad had been solved. She'd heard all of the stories about her Uncle Harry and her parents. She knew all about the war. Knowing about it wasn't the same thing as having been through it herself. She had reason to be worried. Rose had never been someone that had been involved in hands on conflict of this sort. She had more than enough knowledge to be of use, but whether or not she had the ability to jump in and use what she knew was a different matter all together. Defense Against the Dark Arts wasn't even her favorite subject. She favored potions, but that wasn't something she needed to factor into what was going on. Her mum was in danger. Rose would do anything for either of her parents, especially now. Sure, they weren't the parents that she knew, they were younger, but they were still the same people underneath all of the things that were different. Rose would do anything for her family, even if sometimes she came off as if she wouldn't.
Rose had her wand at the ready. She'd been going through all of the spells that she knew since she'd found out that her mum had been taken. She knew that she was capable of a lot, but nerves were a factor. Part of her felt as if she needed to live up to the greatness that was her parents. Rose wasn't sure if she could, but she was damn well going to try! Not only was her mum in danger, but her uncle was as well. Rose didn't want either of the two to be hurt. Even though she didn't know enough about this world, or what was going on yet, she had to be a part of what was going on. She had magic, she could be a damn good distraction. Rose's hair was flying every which way, she hadn't bothered to attempt and tame it as of late, it was low on her priority list.
Rose blinked in surprise as Tonks spoke to her, giving a slight nod. "Yeah, she is." The words were probably meant to be comforting, but Rose didn't feel it at the moment, as focused as she was on what was about to happen. She didn't quite know everyone around, but she knew that they all wanted to save her mum and that was enough for her. Moments before Jacen made his first move Rose sucked in a breath and re-situated the grip she had on her wand. She had to be ready for this. She wasn't going to be useless. She was Rose Weasley. She was the daughter of Hermione and Ronald Weasley and she could do this.
Jacen moved and Rose was honestly shocked by the...weapon that he had. She'd never seen anything like it. The studious side of her wanted to ask a plethora of different questions. Though it was difficult, Rose pushed her interest in whatever it was that Jacen was wielding. Instead she focused on not doing anything dumb. Lifting her wand, Rose tried to push back thoughts of potions and anything that had to do with healing, and tried to focus on the here and now. Seeing some...thing coming her way, Rose raised her wand, hissing out, "Impedimenta!" It effectively slowed what was coming straight at her. So far so good. Moving further in, Rose was trying to be diligent, but it was a little difficult to watch her own back. At the moment things were okay, though. She was trying to just use simple spells that wouldn't do too much damage. She didn't want to make a mistake.
