Who: Elle and open
What: Elle is on patrol and might hear an intruder
When: End Plot, daytime
Where: Camp Xander
Elle knew that she was plenty dangerous unarmed, but after years of nagging she finally carried a gun with her on her patrols around the camp. Though she hadn’t slept very well the night before, Elle was still vigilant and managed to keep her eyes open. Her father had been tough on her growing up and maybe she hadn’t gotten all of the love and affection that usually comes from parents, but it had shaped her into a good soldier. Even five years after her arrival in Lawrence, Elle was still concerned with being the kind of girl her father would be proud of.
It was quiet, at that particular moment, and Elle found herself idly creating electricity in one hand, those blue sparks dancing from one fingertip to another. Though she was absolutely used to it, the sparks still made her skin tingle in a way she considered pleasant. When things got too still and quiet for her to stand, this was what she did to remind herself that she was still there.
The sparks stopped, though, when Elle heard a quiet rustle. She stood up straighter, her gun at the ready. Sometimes it was an animal, but she’d become a believer in the saying ‘You can’t be too careful.’
“Anyone out there?” She raised her voice a bit and looked around, her eyes narrowed more than they usually were. “Hello?”
