WHO: Caroline Forbes and Samcifer WHEN: June 9 ; An hour after this WHERE: Location known only to Samcifer and Caroline WHAT: Sealing the deal STATUS: Incomplete RATING: TBA (but this is Samcifer)
Caroline felt sick. She felt like she had vervain coursing through her body, and she didn’t like it. Not one bit. She had spent years doing nothing but partying, hardly caring what the humans were up to (with the exception of a few), and doing her own thing. She drank on humans, she compelled them without a problem. She had made pets out of them even, and not once had she ever felt a bit of remorse. All the while never caring about what was going on outside the penthouse she shared with Damon.
But what Bonnie said had finally got to her. And suddenly Caroline found herself wondering what the hell she was doing for the past five years. Sure, she didn’t care about most of it. The humans had messed up, she’d own up to the fact she blamed them. They were at the end of the world, and it was all their fault. Stupid, stupid – meat sacks. Despite all that she really did care about some of them. Bonnie, was still her best friend, despite everything. Then there was Kurt, and Epiphany, and Jacen, Quinn and little Beth. She loved them, all of them in different ways. In her eyes they were the exception to the stupid human rule she had grown so accustomed to believing.
Caroline wondered what Damon would do, when he found out what she did. Deep down Caroline had a feeling that he didn’t love her, that he was still stuck on that annoying human girl – Dawn. Sure they had the good life together, they were the Sid and Nancy of the vampire world. Did it matter? Did any of it. Sure, she liked the sex, and she loved the blood but now?
Caroline was a monster. She knew it. Just because she was a monster didn’t mean she was missing her heart. It was there deep, deep, deep, down. And if she could have them protected for a short amount of time, then she’d do it – even if it meant becoming more of a monster. Even if it meant belonging to the devil himself and doing his bidding.
She hadn't been able to convince Lucifer to spare her friends, but at least for a while they'd be protected. That meant something didn't it? Hopefully they wouldn't get hurt, and when they did die it wouldn't be painful. If Caroline could give them that - then the deal would be worth it.
She arrived a little early at the location he had given her. Despite her nerves Caroline had picked the nicest clothing from her wardrobe, she had even done her hair and makeup extra fancy. For the first time in a long time, Caroline was terrified. There was no going back now, it was too late for her. It was too late for her before she even contacted Lucifer, there was no possible way she could go back to being "good," like she had been before. She wasn't even going to try, there was no point.
Caroline Forbes was a lost cause, now in more ways than one.
