Who: Kaylee and Mal. What: being captainy. keeping her company but his excuse is captain-y things When:today Where: her place warnings: tba
Mal was sick of hiding in his room, it wasn't like him at all. It was time to remedy that and start making rounds to check on his crew. First up was Kaylee. She flat out admitted she wasn't being brave, and Mal knew exactly which of her buttons to push to bring it forward. He'd known her long enough now to understand what made her tick. Simon was being defiant. He would be last. He wasn't in a fighty mood to deal with bickering and complications that would no doubt rise to the surface with a visit to his quarters. Then there was River, who had started making sense again. Completely and totally. Demons and an understanding between him and River..Mal wondered how far away the local institute was incase there was some crazy to be had on his part later. His mind was no where near clear, which was likely sucking for poor River with their connection. But he couldn't help it, demons were the unknown. Kaylee had a point. "Gorram Mo gui."(demon) He muttered as he found his way through the maze like complex to Kaylee's quarters.
It didn't take him terribly long, but it still took longer then he would have liked. He didn't know the complex well, despite having been there longer than any of them. The first few weeks he spent there were avoiding the residents of the building after being accused of murder he never committed. Not to mention being a priest. That was laughable and iconical honestly. Him. a priest after everthing that'd happened. He knocked on Kaylee's door. "It's me." and stood back to wait. He was armed as always, but it wasn't like it was really going to help much considering the demons they were dealing with. Still it made him feel better. Earth was a rock he wanted off of as soon as possible. He was not comfortable in the least with his feet on the ground. He belonged in the sky.
