Who: NightwingBatman? and Gabriel.
What:Patrolling and unwelcomed surprises.
When: TONIGHT. Late late late.
Where: The city~
Warnings:hard to say XD.
It was a night like any other night. Dick showered, ate a little take out, caught the beginning of the late show, and left his apartment at midnight on the dot. He understood what Xander was saying perfectly about taking a break. Actually getting a full night sleep because it wasn't Gotham. He just couldn't. It was hardwired. What was that saying? Old habits die hard? It was a warm night in Kansas. Which was weird considering he just came from one of New York's coldest winters, but what wasn't weird in this city? Dick had been cranky since he spoke to Clark the other night and they got into a discussion about Bruce and his past. He never talked about it. It always dug up emotions he'd rather leave buried. So why did he? His mind was anywhere but the streets on that warm spring night and that was his first mistake.
Diving from rooftops without a clear head could be his end if he wasn't more careful. He'd end up street pizza. As much as he enjoyed pizza, human topping wasn't his prime choice. The second tallest building in Lawrence was coming up fast as he used his recently repaired wires to avoid foot traffic and get a clearer view of the city. It'd been a decently quiet night, which to be honest he wasn't thrilled with. He had pent up aggression thanks to a horde of unwanted memories. He wanted something to hit. Anything. Pulling his body upward he landed on the ledge of the buildings roof and crouched down. He unclipped a black microscope from his rope at his waist and focused in on the city below. At first he thought it was pretty small, but he was getting used to the size. It was actually a decent city compare to Bludhaven, or New York, and especially Gotham.
"What's blue, and black, and ontop of you? Me. That's what." He mused aloud as he moved the microscope from one street to the next until he saw a group of shadier looking civilians gathering in a corner. "Time to go to work." He stated as he reclipped his gear and took a swan dive off the roof. He loved that rush. To him there was no place greater. He didn't pull his wire until he got within jumping distance, and then landed silently behind his little gang in their filthy alley. It wasn't until he moved in a little closer did he notice the face paint that looked almost green. "Woah. Too late for Halloween guys." The group looked up in shock, surely nobody would really be so stupid as to drop in unannounced right? "You ain't welcomed. Six a crowd." Dick shrugged. "Now that's just not nice. You meant to say my invite just got lost in the mail right?" He mocked as he pulled one of his signature Nightwing-a-rangs, which he would really have to think of a name for them later. Nightwing-a-rangs just didn't flow. Only one was armed, the other five were just ugly.
