Robin had been trying not to eat around Marian unless she was feeling well, which sometimes meant grabbing a quick bite at odd moments. He had counted on her taking longer with her hair this morning, and whipped the bowl out of the way of the pillow she threw, just in time to avoid wearing his breakfast. "We won't be late; we have ten minutes, and it takes two to get down there," he pointed out, amused. He knew Marian had barely slept, because he had been awake, as well; however, he had tried not to bother her, in case she could get to sleep.
It was hard to believe that they would be able to see the baby. The pictures in the baby books were astounding, and even having seen them, it was still a difficult concept to grasp. They still had six months before they got to meet that little person, yet they got to see him or her today. That was amazing.
Finishing the cereal in a last, big bite, he dumped the bowl and spoon in the sink, pulling on his sneakers as he chewed. Once he had swallowed, he opened the door. "C'mon, what are you waiting for?"
