"Great." It was a better scenario than Tara having turned on them and gotten them into deeper shit than they already were. Nate did that well enough on his own, without the betrayal. Maybe she proved herself to them later on, but until he saw that for himself, he was going to remain skeptical.
Her question was met with silence. Eliot took a few steps back and leaned against the wall. "People here are going to try," he said after a moment. He wasn't going to sugarcoat it for her, not when he had his own doubts. "There's people that aren't exactly normal, which should help. People who should know what they're doing." Or should have known what they were doing.
"It's going to be a hell of a fight," he said finally, "but this is a pretty scrappy crew."
