So.. Claudio had powers, then. That was sort of cool. She hadn't really spoken directly to anyone with abilities. Online, yes. But this would be the first time she had interacted with any of them in person. And she also felt she could trust this one. He was trusting her enough with what was obvious personal info about his powers, so maybe.. she could put herself out a bit more if Claudio wanted to know her story. "That's.. amazing," she said after thinking on it. "Being invisible would have been handy for me. And the phasing.. I've been shot at enough times to know that would be a good power to have." The resurrection skill would have been nice too. She had literally seen too many people die. And from everything Kyle and Derek had said, and Cameron, many more would later. That was actually a future she'd fought to stop. Problem was that with everything they did, she was no closer to preventing it than before she started.
She smiled brightly when her new friend had mentioned her son then. She remembered what his father Kyle said. He's my height, with your eyes. He's got a strength. I'd die for John Connor. "No," she said, taking another bite of her pancakes. "I hear that sometimes a relative shows up, but he hasn't come yet, if he will. I do care about him.. everything I've done, it's for him.. and I'd give my life if it meant he survives, if it will save him in the end. I haven't had to yet. But we've had close calls. He's nice.. a good kid. Stands up for people. Though.. sometimes he kinda goes off half-cocked into things without fully thinking it through." She laughed at that. "I guess he gets that particular trait from me."
