For some reason Hermione wasn't even surprised that Ron had tried to do something like Apparate out of Laurence and whether it was because of that or because of genuine concern, she didn't repeat the tuts of disapproval. Instead she frowned, reached for his arm gently.
"Let me see," the bossy tone was gone from her voice and it was almost soft as she spoke to him. "From the sounds of it you're quite lucky the doctor didn't want to give you stitches." Not that stitches were nearly as bad as Ron clearly believed. Muggles had gotten by with them for a long time. Hermione suspected that they might all have to get used to doing some things the Muggle way around here.
"So," she started with a small, half smile. "You happen to do any other stupid things since you arrived here?"
