WHO: Rory Gilmore and Andrea Rojas
WHEN: Backdated to the 16th
WHERE: Apartment complex
WHAT: Getting ready to go to Haiti to help with the relief efforts.
Andrea was very appreciate that Kara had agreed to take her to Haiti and had also offered to help with the relief efforts. She wasn't sure what she could do but she knew she had to do something. She hadn't been sure what she would have done if Kara had said no -- though she had highly doubted that she would have , but it was always possibility -- she hadn't come up with a plan after that. Where there was a will there was a way. Andrea would have managed some how. Maybe ask Paige or ask Clark. However, she was more than relieved that the first person she had decided to ask was willing to take the time to do this.
She really hadn't expected to receive two offers either. She should have known better of course. These people, the people she shared the building with. Were good people. Yet because of, or despite that fact, she wouldn't have blamed them for not even acknowledging her post. Things got lost in the shuffle with the lives they had. And yes, they were all getting a quiet that was lasting too long for her comfort. She understood that people would want to enjoy it. It wasn't mean and she certainly didn't see it as selfish. It was human. If it hadn't struck a cord with her ... Well. What matter was that it had and Haiti was going to receive some super-powered help. And one not super-powered but nevertheless, very much appreciated.
Andrea walked up to Rory's apartment door and knocked, waiting.
It filled her with warmth to see the other woman and Clark also volunteer. It had also filled her with warmth that people wanted her to be careful. Dios, ... she made fun of Ruby and Sam. But she could be her own kind of sap. Yet after closing off from people and ... just really missing her mother of late. It's just struck a chord and reminded her once again, that she really wasn't alone here. Which actually caused her to tear up a bit and grin like a loon ... but that was for another time.
Now was thinking up of an actual plan of how they'd go about things. Since it had been her idea, it was her responsibility to make sure that they didn't get caught or receive governmental trouble. Yes, she knew that everyone could take care of herself. But that didn't mean that having a plan wouldn't be a good idea. She worried about these things and she'd feel guilty if anything happened because of this. Good deed or not, she wasn't willing to have people getting stuck under rubble or caught by government officials.
