"Jeans and T-shirts are really comfortable too and they can be cute," Brynna said diplomatically.
She led Kendra away from the skimpy, flashy, fashionable clothes in the front of the store and to the back where they hid the T-shirts and jeans. She pulled a pair of boyfriend cut jeans off the rack and handed them to Kendra.
"See, look at these, they're baggy and comfortable...and cute."
She left her somewhat bewildered friend standing with the jeans in her hand and made her way to the T-shirts. She grabbed a couple of neutrally shaded shirts that she knew from the cut would just barely skim Kendra's athletic shape but not impede her movements by being too tight or too loose. And on a whim she pulled down a black T-shirt that have brightly colored foil stars printed on it. The vivid colors would look fabulous on Kendra.
She handed the pile of shirts to Kendra and gestured towards the fitting room, "Go try them on," she prodded.
