Considering the fact that Jessica had only been a vampire for just over a month, she really wasn't sure of what to do with herself just yet. Heck, she wasn't even all that sure of how to do most of what she knew vampires were supposed to be able to do. Eric had taught her some when he felt like it, but he didn't always feel like doing that sort of thing. Still, he taught her a whole lot more than Bill ever did, and Bill was the one that was supposed to be teaching her, what with being her maker and all. Maybe he was just stupid and thought that if he didn't teach her he hadn't really had to make another vampire, but not teaching her wasn't going to change what she was. It would just make it harder for her to stay alive. Or, well, stay up and moving around.
She didn't jump or anything when Dracula was suddenly walking up behind her, even though she'd been more worried about running her fingers through her hair, trying to make it look less windblown from the run she had gone on. Instead, she just turned around and grinned at him. "Hey, Drac," she said simply, her northern Louisiana accent apparent even in those two words. Usually she didn't nickname people so quickly, but she figured she might get weird looks if she went around calling him Dracula in public. But then he was asking her a question that made her nod. "Yep, I'm ready. I haven't eaten in like two days so I'm really hungry."
At least she didn't have to eat as often as she did when she was a human. Now she could go a couple days without meals before she started getting testy and irrational.
