"Weird." Most of the time, that was the way that Ron reacted to most of the things that he was told about Muggle technology. It really was fortunate for him that he had people around to explain it to him half the time. To think that he could have ended up anywhere else in the world without any contact from anyone he knew or anyone who might have understood that he didn't know much about the Muggle world...it made him plenty uncomfortable. He wouldn't have known what to do with himself then. Ron could barely remember how to work the money that he got for pay half the time, let alone figure out how to function with the other stuff that went along around here. He'd learned quite a bit over time, yeah, but what would happen when the day came that Muggles expected for him to do something that he couldn't do? What then? He'd just fumble along. Look like a prat. Get all red in the face. Yeah, that seemed like standard procedure to him.
"What about the ones that don't come back?" Ron looked down and shook his head. "I dunno. I can't shake the feeling that it's not right that we let people run off and hope that they're doing fine. I mean, Rose went missing earlier on and I still -" He worried. She was his kid. Not one that he raised or saw or actually made as of yet, but she was his kid. And he did care about her. What if Lilith had her? What if she was dead? What if - "I don't want them to be forgotten is all."
Not everyone forgot. But he wondered if any of them worried as much as he did. Ron might have come off as the sort of person who didn't think too much into things, but he did when those things involved people that he cared about.
