Stephanie couldn't help it. She blinked at his answer for a moment before giving in to a small bout of laughter. Because there was no way Ron had really come up there just for food. She knew that it took a lot less time for him to get there than it did for her thanks to being a wizard and all, and this was Ron, someone who did adore his food, but really. Going all the way to South Dakota to raid a fridge when he lived in a building with tons of fridges full of food? Unlikely. "Oh, that's right," she started, smirking at him a bit. "There's a big food shortage down in Lawrence. All the food in the city has been eaten and none of the stores have gotten any new shipments. I saw that on the news earlier." Stephanie was teasing him, of course. It was just in her nature to be sarcastic about things. "And no, it's corned beef. You wouldn't catch me eating corned beef. It's bologna and cheese."
Really, it was a good thing that Ron hadn't decided to visit her a couple days earlier, when she was still at her apartment. The one that was hers, because they weren't exactly living together at the moment, which was probably for the best, big time. But if he had tried to visit her the night that he'd made that stupid post that Stephanie didn't know the exact wording of but got the gist of? Yeah, he probably would have been thrown out on his ass. As it was, she had cooled down a lot since then. She didn't really feel the need to punch him or anything, which was good. "How's your face?" she asked simply once she remembered that he had gotten slugged already. "I'm assuming Tim went for the face when he jumped you."
