Perhaps it had been the daftest idea of them all, but Ron had decided to try giving visiting Steph a try. Not because he wanted to drop in and shag her while she was off training to do whatever, but because he thought that she might be keen on his company. Maybe. Possibly. Ron supposed that all mostly depended on whether or not she was furious with him for the entire incident from the boards a few nights ago. In his defense? He had just been messing around. It wasn't as though he had set out to offend anyone or make Steph look bad or anything. But then the whiney little boy had to come along and make a scene, so things sort of exploded from there. Now Ron was pretty sure that Steph was at least irritated at him. That, of course, didn't stop him from deciding to come out and visit when the idea randomly struck him. It wasn't as big of a deal for him as it would have been for others. Other people would have had to drive for hours before they could properly get to where Steph was staying right now. Ron, on the other hand, was a proper wizard. That meant that he could apparate, even if he was rather poor at popping from one place to the other. It was a good day if he didn't splinch himself while doing so.
...today, so far, was turning out to be a good day. Ron landed himself in the salvage yard, rather pleased that he hadn't lose a finger or inch of skin or anything of value in the process of apparating over. That was an accomplishment if he ever saw one. Now all he had to do was successfully pay Steph a visit without ticking her off. Why was he visiting a Steph that was probably furious with him in the first place? Ron wasn't exactly sure. All he knew was that it was weird that she wasn't in the same city as him anymore, so he had to come and make sure that...that, well, she was fully intact. Or something. He'd have to make up an excuse of sorts when he found her. Until then, the truth was that he had sort of missed seeing her.
That wasn't what he'd tell her though.
Ron knew the area a little since he had already done his fair share of training, so he followed the path up to the house and moved inside to search for Steph. He found her in the kitchen. Eating. Food. Smirking just slightly, he moved around the kitchen table and tried to play everything casually. Ron walked right on over to the fridge, pulled it open, then looked over at Steph as though he were completely shocked to see her there.
