It really did help that he was one of the men in charge. Sneaking around with women, especially his woman</i>, was a lot more easily executed than it would have been with others. After all, Spike was no fool. He was well aware of the fact that they weren't the only two people in the building who used their spare moments between work to sneak off and behave like high school teenagers. Unlike some of the other higher ups, however, Spike didn't really mind. What good was going to work if you couldn't have any fun every now and again? Besides, if need be, he could use the knowledge of the office romances he was strictly aware of to his advantage. Roberston on floor seven didn't want to close in on that deal they'd been egging at for months now? He'd dangle the security footage of him and Nancy Laury shagging each other in the janitor's closet on the first floor in front of him. Fish on a hook, easily. Spike was clever like that. It was part of why he was so tremendously successful - he knew how to play people. He knew how to get what he wanted. And right now? What he wanted was the incredibly attractive blonde seated at the desk in front of him.
"Not for another hour or so," Spike replied, tugging at the tie around his neck. He loosened it a bit and leaned forward, arms resting along the edge of the wooden cubicle that surrounded her desk. "Booked that deal I was working on. Loosened things up for the afternoon." Spike smirked. "It's likely going to piss off the lot of 'em upstairs - I know three others who wanted in with that one and now they're going to have to sit back and watch as I settle things in and rake in the money." He looked beyond pleased with himself. There was nothing more entertaining than watching people glare in envy. It was a beautiful thing, really. "Think you can stomach a break with your very handsome, very successful fiancé?"
