The truth was, Eric didn't really know a whole lot about the demons of this world. He'd been avoiding getting involved with them, given the dicey moral ground they would be for someone like him. If he hurt them, he'd essentially be hurting an innocent human. There was some metaphysical leeway in his condition, but he didn't want to hurt innocent humans. Yeah, at times the rage could get the better of him and he didn't care quite as much, but still. Most of the time, he didn't want to hurt anyone. If the demons had their own bodies, well, that would be a very different story, but there was no way he was going to work over some poor human just because they had the misfortune of getting bodyjacked by the unholy.
So Sarah's questions weren't quite as easy to answer. He shrugged his shoulders a little. "I don't know. I think it's just kind of what they do. It doesn't seem like they have bodies of their own." He pondered for a moment, trying to figure out how to put it. "Some do have a goal, though." He looked up at her, trying and only partially succeeding in hiding the concern in his eyes. This was a huge bomb to be dropping on anyone, no matter how mature. "The apocalypse. Revelations." He didn't continue. There was more, the stuff about fictional characters, but considering they were fictional here he wasn't really sure how to approach that one just yet.
