Ah, that look. Eric did know that look, though usually only from witnessing her give it to others. He couldn't even remember the last time she'd given it to him. He was sure she had, at some point back when he was alive, but he definitely couldn't remember. He also remembered being a teenager, and something of a master of the look himself. He was a brooding musician, he sometimes still gave people that look.
So he got the message. One corner of his lip twitched up again. "Good point." The light lilting of his voice was the only clue he was amused. When he spoke again, his voice had dropped a notch or two in volume. No reason to make people think they were crazy yet. "It's not a freaky Quantum Leap thing. It's more like a freaky Sliders thing." Yes, Eric knew sci-fi. He didn't admit it often, but he did. "We're in an alternate universe. Apparently, it's happened to a lot of people." He paused here. This next part wouldn't be so easy, but he knew Sarah could handle it. "There are demons here, apparently. Real ones. They wear people." Yeah, he wasn't exactly sugarcoating it. He knew Sarah would be able to tell if he tried. His tone made it clear there was more, but even as mature as he knew Sarah could be, he also knew to take things slow and let her process the small things before he got to the big one.
