Who: Gwen Tennyson and OPEN What: Arrival, backdated to last night! When: Friday night, late. Where: outside a coffee shop. Warnings: tba.
Piercing emerald green eyes adjusted to the light change as she gracefully walked across a plain looking little coffee shop. Nothing out of the ordinary in the least. Infact it was the most normal thing she'd done all week. Crimson hair pushed and clipped behind her ear with her favorite orange colored hair piece given to her by her Grandpa Max, sixteen year old Gwen Tennyson stared into a large mirror in a coffee shop whose name wasn't worth remembering. It wasn't nearly as good as Starbucks or her Grandpa's campfire Plumbers Strength super secret recipe coffee that to be honest she was to scared to ask what was so super secret about it. It was a quick pick-me-up before back on the road with her boyfriend Kevin and cousin Ben. Or so she thought.
Splashing some water on her tired face to wake herself up, Gwen Tennyson was ready to face the world. It was amazing what a little break and alot of caffeine could do for her sanity. The trio had been on the road for so long they were all getting on eachothers nerves. Gwen declared a coffee break and was proud her suggestion was approved. Until she realized that neither boy was actually interested in coffee with her and she was left to her own devices. Gwen walked out of the coffee shop restroom and looked around. Kevin and Ben were nowhere. They'd split up sure, but she thought by now they'd have come back for her? Her eyes narrowed suspiciously as they flicked from person to person, all of which seemed to have magically changed. Gwen really didn't pay it much mind. It was a coffee shop, people came and left all the time. That was all it was. Nothing more. Nothing less.
A cashier at the counter stared at Gwen as though she appeared out of thin air, but she tried not to return the confusion and seem even more out of place. She kept walking. Once she made it to the parking lot everything would be fine. Kevin would be leaning against his lime green pin stripe car waiting for her. Ben would be inside being obnoxious as always. Changing the radio stations, or messing with the power locks just to see which would irritate her boyfriend more and test his limits. Gwen stepped out into a completely different parking lot. It was smaller. The cars were more practical and even the stores in the small lot had changed. Her stomach knotted with worry. "..Ben?" No answer. "Kevin?!" Heads turned toward her, but none of them were heads she was familiar with. Fear overwhelmed her and she ran back into the coffee shop. She sank down infront of a computer and logged on. "Welcome to Lawrence Kansas?"..This had to be some kind of joke.
