Who: Lois Lane and Glory
What: Mouthing off and BRAINSUCKAGE!
When: Saturday night. Yeah, that's right. She was at WORK on SATURDAY. Don't worry, it won't become a habit. She just wanted to finish something up.
Where: Outside of the Daily Planet Lawrence newspaper she works at.
Warnings: Brainsuckage. And some language.

Believe it or not, Lois had spent most of her Saturday afternoon at work. But there was a simple explanation for that, she had a story that needed finishing. Namely the one about the massacre at the orphanage. It'd already been reported on in the papers, sure. Mostly by people that weren't there. And mostly by people that... wouldn't actually know what really went down, and who did it.

Not that Lois was actually outright saying "vampire" in her story, but still. She was hinting. And her editor wasn't the brightest guy in the world half of the time, so she wouldn't be surprised if he didn't catch on at all.

But once she was done, she was out of there. Ready to go have some actual fun that night. Lois wasn't sure what she was going to go do, but there had to be something, after all. So she stepped out onto the sidewalk and glanced around. It was already starting to get dark, which sucked. So she really had missed most of the day. Well, that was no matter. It was Saturday night. She'd be able to find something else to do.

Glory had found the massacre hillarious personally, and she did keep meaning to tell the vampire so too, but she'd be as dead as her victims when the dimensions ripped apart to get her home. Pretty little Dawnie and her blood would see to that, but it was getting harder and harder to focus on her goal when she was drifting further and further away every day. She hated how it felt.

"Need to find...need to find the light, hidden in plain sight, just before the dawn"

She didn't know why she ended up at a newspaper but she had. The building was a little out of her usual area, and ugh everyone that was coming from there was UGLY, all except one. One woman. She was wearing a pretty outfit too. Glory approved of it, and honestly. That was enough for her to make her choice.

It was this woman that would help her, sustain her. This woman that would help her find the light that was Dawnie. And soon, she had to drain her soon. She quickly caught up to the woman and smiled sweetly.

"Hi honey"

Lois had just pulled her car keys out of her purse when she heard someone speaking. She looked over, wondering if it was anyone she knew because she certainly didn't know that voice, and she couldn't help it. When she saw that face, the face she'd seen a few times on that forum, her eyes went wide.

"Hey. Hi," Lois started trying to come up with something to say to get the woman to just leave. Luckily, Lois was never one to be at a loss for words. "You want directions to somewhere, right? I mean, since I've never seen you before, that's got to be what you want. Otherwise you'd just leave me alone. You know, as in not bothering me. Not sucking out my brains through your fingers or however it is you do it. You'd just turn around and walk away because, I've gotta tell you, most people aren't stupid enough to mess with me considering I'm dating Clark. Even if they are gods."

What? Lois ramble when she gets nervous? Never!

Glory shook her head trying to rgain some level of clarity. Trying to figure out some way to keep herself foucsed, this girl would do very nicely to help her. She'd make things clear and everything would be fine. But the girl recognised just who she was and she was scared. Of course she was said. So she should be really. And aww, she was trying to get her to walk away. Directions to somewhere? Ew no. Glory knew the only directions she needed. One way track right to her mind. To the balancing effects human minds had on her. She needed it, needed the clarity before she really started to loose it.

"You think I'm scared cause you're bumping uglies with superboy. I'm a freakin GOD little girl. And you, you're gonna help me make sense of it all again, cause sometimes. Sometimes it gets REALLY hard to see through the crowd. Sometimes all you can do is fight through the dark and you get out, you get out cause everything screams inside your head. Do you know what thats like Mrs Superman. Bet you don't...but you will"

Glory was right at the woman's side now and she grabbed for her hand, just a light grip, nothing like the witch had gotten.

"Walk with me" she said simply. "We'll...talk. I can tell you all about the crawling, the horrible awful crawling in where the brain lives and how you have it all to look forward to."

Lois Lane wasn't exactly one to freak out over every little thing that happened to go wrong in the world. But having a hellgoddess that had been making people go wacky? Yeah, that was freakout worthy. She pulled back when Glory grabbed her hand, not wanting to touch her for any reason whatsoever.

"Or we could just skip all this and you could, I don't know... leave me alone or something. Because, really, that's the best chain of action there is right now." No, Lois wasn't going to try to pull the Clark card again, it was clear that it wasn't going to work. Hell, she was pretty sure that there was nothing she could do to help herself at this point anyway, and that especially sucked because Lois? She tended to be one to want to help herself before asking others for help.

Pullling back, trying to get away. Awww. It would almost be cute if it weren't so utterly laughable. And was she really playing the boyfriend card. Who even did that. Lois Lane was apparently some famous girlfriend of SuperDork. What-ever. Glory didn't care. What Lois was, was a means to an end.

"I couuuld leave you alone. But mostly, right now. I don't want to. I want to show you my hell. I want to show you what being trapped here can do to a gal. I want you to see like I see. Come on Lois it isn't the end of the world. Not yet. Just, kinda the end of yours."

Glory smirked, and went for the metaphorical kill, hands finding the woman's skull, she'd actually tried to fight back, she usually tried to make it quick when they did that. It showed that they had a backbone and Glory approved of the sentiment. But it was never enough. Never ever enough.

She pushed.
