Who: Cissie King-Jones and Dawn Summers
What: Bonding time in the communal kitchens
When: October 22, 2009, early evening
where: Communal Kitchens, Apartment Complex.
Why: Because the girls need to meet... and Cissie is useless at Latin!
The writing in front of her was not doing anything to help her with the text. To a degree it seemed as if her life might depend on her learning this... spell? No it was an Exorcism... but how did one classify an exorcism? It was just another of the questions in her ever-growing pile.
Cissie had tried to the best of her ability to take everything in stride. But being pulled from her dorm room at the Elias School to a different universe... It would have been nice if she could have said that kind of thing wasn't normal, but ever since she'd quit Young Justice, she'd been transported to Myrg, worked as an intergalactic medic and a mess of other things. Still... a new universe. That was definately new. And with it came a new set of rules. While as usual she was able to cover everything with what Dr. Money had called her 'cheerleader attitude' she was just as lost as everyone else, and despite what Tim said, her taking back up her mask was a way for her to gain control of something. Maybe the wrong reasons, but she wouldn't ahve done it if she wasn't ready.
But for all her skills, this text was giving her headaches. She took a sip of the bottle of soda she'd bought on her way home from work... She'd picked up dinner and this and a few pieces of pizza were left. The Pizza now for public consumption. She'd never had a head for languages. And since the posting of the squads on Buffy's door... seeing that she was lumped in wit the other heroes - which she actually liked, it didn't mean anything really. She still couldn't get this. She'd gone to Andrew's for help, she'd gotten a book in Latin vocabulary. What she needed was an audio tape, so that she could just memorize it that way... but apparantly putting it on tape was the same as speaking it. So she was on her own. and she was lost. She hadn't been able to handle Spanish! Latin was even worse! And one thing was clear. She needed help. She wished she could just head out. Go on patrol, but it was too early for that... and this, god help her, was homework.
