"I would have totally managed to bust you out, for the record," Gwen stated before she smirked. "And you know, if you think about it, it was the most amazing bust out ever because, I mean, look around," she made a show of glancing at their surroundings. "Are we, or are we not, no longer in your cell?"
And if they were now in a different dimension to his bitch girlfriend who wasn't even treating him right, then that was an added bonus.
She barely managed to resist rolling her eyes at the way he was about her job. He'd always had an issue with the stripping, for reasons she'd never understood.
"Yeah, you got me out, and into a world where qualifications and being a freak didn't matter. That world's not here, so now, I gotta stick with what I know. And this war? Is nothing to do with me," she shook her head, looking more sad than frustrated. "I tried the good fight thing once, in LA. When up against the Beast. Kinda didn't go so well, what with the Angelus issue and all. I'm not war fighting material. As for caring about people, I'm staying away to protect them."
She raised an eyebrow, laughing slightly, actually amused this time.
