He really couldn't stop smiling right now. He wasn't trying to stop, but even if he had been, it just wouldn't have happened. "You're welcome, Faith." He watched her turn and lift her hair. "Of course I will." He undid the clasp on the necklace and stepped closer to her, reaching around to gently drape the necklace around her neck. Then he redid the clasp and, on an impulse, leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss to the back of her neck.
"Faith..." God, he wanted to say it. The only thing that stopped him was a vision of her running again. He knew this was a delicate situation, and he didn't want to spook her. He knew she was trying, and could see the changes she was making every single day, but if he spooked her again she might not give him enough time to catch up to her. So instead of saying what he wanted to say, he just let his hands come to rest on her shoulders lightly for a moment before stepping back, giving her room to turn back around.
