premise | rules | played-bys | abilities | application Of course I have a secret identity. I don't know a single superhero without one. I mean, who wants the pressure of being super all the time?
The year is 2108, exactly 100 years in the future. Thirty years ago, people with superpowers started appearing across the globe, and not long after that, masked and caped Super Heroes started patrolling the cities, protecting justice and the innocent and effectively making all the everyday heroes almost obsolete. Lately, the government has been urging those with super powers to relocate to a new city designed especially for them. Located underground, the city (called "Haven") is massive and contains everything you could ever want. The only catch is that anyone inside the city is required to report once a week for testing - so the government's scientists can figure out what distinguishes someone with superpowers from the rest of the world. But don't worry, the tests are "harmless"! In fact, they even pay you for your time, right along with giving you free housing and a free car. What do you have to lose? But, of course, everyone knows the old adage. If it sounds too good to be true...
cityofheroes is a game based around former super heroes who have all relocated to one, fictional city. We're focused on character interaction and development through focusing on scenes and threading, with a minimal focus on journals and other forms of communication. We plan to offer prompts for character reactions as well as a place with no cliques and no OOC drama. This game is about writing and having fun!
