I was a lot younger than you when I discovered my power. And there were others too, like me, who discovered theirs. We were all confused. And we found each other. Together, we tried to make a difference to the world. And for a while, we did. It was beautiful. And then, some of my ... friends ... they lost their way. They used their powers for personal gain. And all the good that we'd done was -- well, it amounted to nothing. And I learned that healing one person at a time was just not enough. We needed something -- something to pull it down on course. Something big.

Evolution is the key to the advancement of every race on Earth. It takes thousands of years to make the slightest progress, but for humanity, it has begun to take a great, sudden leap forward. It’s been happening for a long time. Certain individuals have begun to exhibit signs of evolutionary advancement, showing strange powers. Rapid cell regeneration, telekinesis, enhanced strength, flight and more. However, they have been dismissed as fiction, as legend, as myth. But in this expanding modern world of high speed communication, radio and television, these powers cannot be hidden for much longer. Something must be done to keep the secret.
In 1977, something was done. In 1977, a group of individuals with such unique powers came together with the intention of creating an organisation for the purpose of discovering other special people. An organisation to track them, to find them, to help them, to protect them….and in some cases, to stop them.
They wanted to save the world.
