Curious!

This is less of a “I need/want XYZ” and more of a “I am incredibly curious what people’s RP preferences are now-a-days”.

Do people write mostly for ships still? No shade if you do, or if you don’t, I just remember a time when this was common. I don’t think it is anymore, but that’s also why I’m asking. If not, what sort of things are people looking for? Are people looking for plot to explore a character through? Other interpersonal relations? Other?

If people still mostly write for ships: What things are you looking for in your ships? (Age gap, conflict, het, fem slash/slash, harmony, divorces, relationships based on sex, kinky relations, non-sexual relations, etc., etc., etc.... I’m sure there’s a billion ship variations and I’m curious about them all but don’t have the time to write that much 🤣)

Putting out some feelers because I have this idea in my head and it's kind of stuck now.

Would anyone be interested in a Superhero AU type setting either for a psl or a gpsl? Something like My Hero Academia, if anyone's familiar, but with a focus on the adults maybe moreso than kids? But both would be love. Professional Heroes who get paid for appearances and by the government for helping with crime/villians/etc. A world where they have "identities" that aren't overly secret which opens up a new can of worms for the whole protecting loved ones deal. The greater majority have powers but only some use them for Hero-ing and some just use them in their dayjob or not really at all because you need a permit to use them to interfere with someone else in public. It's all totally normal to them.

World can definitely be built upon, could be fandom related (just with characters tweaked to fit the setting from any genre) or completely OC, though, it's been ages since I've done OCs it feels like.
