The world has taken a turn for the worse. Two years ago the economy plunged into a state more tragic than ever, leading the population to take desperate measures. Tough times have not only caused the crime rate to soar among the mortal world, but it has also influenced the supernatural realm to reveal itself. Vampires, werewolves and every nightmarish creation once hidden by shadow has stepped into the light of the mortal world. In order to survive, they prey on all that is around them, whether they be mortal or immortal. No man is safe as it is every man for himself.

Packs and covens are a thing of the past and no one pledges allegiance to another. Friends and enemies remain in existence and while enemies are easy to find, friends are harder to keep. This overwhelming rage of survival has spread worldwide, but our story takes place on the streets of Ravenwood, a city in the heart of Washington. Ravenwood is open to all from the supernatural world, providing a home to the lost and hopeless. Hope is still in existence but it struggles to thrive in such dark times.
