THE YEAR IS 1980.
Dark wizards are punishing all who speak out.
Dark arts supporters are poisoning the country.
The Ministry are denying they're losing control.
Vigilantism will not be tolerated.

IT'S TIME FOR THE UPRISING.

Tumultus is a dark and gritty first war roleplay that opened on 8 February. It is focused on the last two years of the war. The country is exhausted, but the grim-faced Ministry are still coming down hard on anyone that poses a threat, dark wizards and vigilantes alike.

With a mild AU environment and a bustling plot calendar of events, there is plenty of opportunity to get involved. This month sees attempts from anti-purist protestors to lift the Muggle ban in Diagon Alley, the Aurors start being trained in the use of Unforgivables, and the Order stage a recon operation during a purist party.

Inner Circle Death Eaters are wanted, but there are plenty of spaces for Ministry based characters, St Mungo's employees and Order vigilantes. Anyone fancy giving Remus Lupin, Barty Crouch or Augustus Rookwood a whirl?

Creatures of fantasy now called 'supernaturals' interact every day with humans through the mystical protection of THE VEIL.

Some were once known as gods and goddesses, the inspiration for human fairy tales, and the foundation of human folklore. Most have adapted to a mundane life beyond THE VEIL masquerading as humans. Others have chosen to remain behind it outside of the prying reach of humanity out of fear.

Yet, not all the supernaturals are content to have humans deceived by this convenient 'gift'. There are those who would see it destroyed along with the AGE OF REASON. A global corporation called AEGIS exists to train individuals capable of piercing THE VEIL to handle these uprisings.

Welcome to San Francisco, CA. A very bizarre city setting established as the heart of this struggle in modern day for original fantasy, folklore, paranormal, and supernatural characters.

The community has been around since 2010.
