Can you survive in a world where what you see is not what you get?

Welcome to modern day San Francisco, CA where the supernatural community mingles with mundane (humans) as they try to live out their own lives in relative peace. Although, not everyone is happy to enjoy the liberties granted by masquerading as a human through The Veil.

THE VEIL. A mysterious force preventing mundanes from seeing Creatures of Fantasy by subconsciously tweaking what they see, hear, and feel. However, not all CoFs are happy with the deception. Some are determined to see The Veil torn down and bring about a new age of awareness with their Acts of Will to defy The Veil's protective influence.

AEGIS INTERNATIONAL. Agents of the Veil who police the world and prevent Creatures of Fantasy from tearing down The Veil with outrageous displays of power.

THE FAE TERRITORIES. Scattered territories beyond The Veil where a majority of Creatures of Fantasy live outside of mundane people's awareness. A location referred to as The Court harbors the Fae Queen, the most politically powerful position among The Fae, and her court.

THE HUNTERS. Among those who can pierce The Veil, Hunters are considered extremely lethal for their combination of abilities and finely honed combat skills.

It's 2020; eight years after the pandemic began.

In 2012, the first infected appeared in London. In 2013, it had completely taken Europe. By 2014, it spread to the United States.

By 2016, the entire world was deemed a lost cause. Cities that formerly housed hustling and bustling business, bright lights and constant activity are shells of their former selves. Electricity for the masses is a near-lost memory and now the only places that hold electricity are "safe havens" like shelters or churches. There are no more new cars or cushy apartments.

What little freedoms the infected didn't take away, the government destroyed. People deemed "immune," people who didn't turn when bitten, were forced into servitude. Those who had yet to be bitten had the option to help out as well. Immune, and non-immune helpers, were pushed to the brink of exhaustion by the power hungry government, who sat safely in their safe areas.

Finally, in 2020, people have moved on from the government's games. A small pocket of resistance, residing in New York City, formulated a plan and have created a true "safe haven" in Sing Sing Correctional Facility. No government, and a true safe haven behind walls that no infected can scale. After eight years of oppression, a change has finally begun.

But that change isn't simple, by any means. Now, the survivors have to contend with a constant government threat, and various uncouth rebel groups who want to take advantage of their advances or take them down from the inside. Plus, there's still the constant threat of infection right outside the walls, constantly dwindling the population.

The safety is palpable. But it's definitely better than government control.

Game has been open for a year and four months, and is still going strong.

We currently have a superhuman abilities plot going! Come join the fun!

After the end of the war a peculiar calm settled over the Wizarding World and they were left to pick up the pieces and try to return to normality. Those who had missed school were given a chance to go again while everyone else re-built their world. Those connected to Voldemort were investigated and placed on trial before being sentenced to time in Azkaban. For two years there was calm, peace. And then, one day, a brand new building showed up overnight and along with it people from the past and future. Suddenly, there were multiple copies of the same people around, people who were in the present dead, come forward from a time before their deaths. No one has an explanation for how this has occurred, but it’s brough other strange incidents with it, as well.

Aetates is a multi-generation Harry Potter game set in the year 2000. The game is canon compliant up through the start of the game, but from time to time, we will be inviting characters to be brought in from various AU canon points. Characters from any era are welcome - past, present or future. Things will be kept lively with random challenges - genderswaps, crazy magical goings on and someone potentially trying to get the war re-kindled.
