WHAT FOOLS THESE MORTALS BE

Welcome to West River City, Pennsylvania! There have always been stories told and stories heard of things which go bump in the night. Once, such things were widely believed in. They were revered, feared and even hunted down. In our modern times, however - the fear of the night has become soaked in neon lights and a new world view. These days, most will tell you that these supernatural stories and creatures can't possibly exist; that logic and nature itself would not allow them to. However, logic and nature do not always agree with the contemporary view held by most of humanity. Whether in the darkness or in the light, humanity is not alone in the world. It never has been. Those stories? They're all true. The creatures spoken on are all still in the world. They live among humans: friends, neighbors, bosses, co-workers, lovers. They're sewn in to every little niche of human society; hiding and watching, pretending to be as average as the next person. Times are beginning to change, however. More and more strange occurrences have been documented all over the world. Most people tend to ignore these things, writing them off as freak accidents or natural disasters. Perhaps it is time to wake up those dreaming peaceful things to the nightmare of reality once more? |

Won't you be my neighbor? Abolition is an Original Character RPG based in fictional West River City, Pennsylvania. This RPG will be focusing on the daily lives of humans and the various supernatural creatures hidden among them. We are looking forward to a diverse and unique cast, as well as to a friendly, creatively fulfilling and character-oriented atmosphere. While we will feature community wide plots from time to time, we welcome our writers to make their character's own fortune and fates in the world presented for them. Abolition will not be for the faint of heart, however. There will be darker themes explored within this community, so we ask that all of our writers are at least 18 years of age.
Have you ever read through a book and wished you were there? Thought about what it might be like if Harry Potter were tossed into Oz? What if Edward Cullen woke up one morning and found himself being hailed as the next great Pokemon trainer? There are so many what if's that it would be impossible to discuss them all here, but we can always try our hand at a few. Novel Ideas is an AU multi-verse game where your characters will be tossed through a variety of novels to see how they survive the events of various books. Does your character have what it takes to live in another world?

For three years, Rita Skeeter ruled over a village that existed outside of time and space as we know it. People of all ages, from across hundreds of years, co-existed for better or for worse, every day enduring her various torments - until one day, regardless of real-world affiliations, they all rose up against her. In the midst of the chaos, George Weasley found the ledgers containing the spells Skeeter used to create the village and bind it to her magic. But without Rita alive anymore to sustain it, the village would soon crumble out of existence. Knowing that his twin's life, and many others' as well, hung in the balance of his decision, George chose to create a new village using Skeeter's ledgers, binding it to himself. For those who wished to return home, he gave them time to say their goodbyes. For those who chose to put their trust in him and stay, he started making plans. George isn't entirely sure what he's doing most of the time, and the mistakes -- as well as successes -- come almost weekly. But one thing is for certain: George might be a joker, but he's not cruel. Those who come in fresh will never know the difference, but those who remember the days before George Weasley took over can rest assured that this time won't be anything like the last. Fourteen Shades is the sequel game to Lockewood, which closed in May of 2012. We are an active, friendly game with over 25 players and over 50 characters!
