Some doors should never be opened. In the dark halls of a Las Vegas hotel, the grotesque and the terrible await. The Big Bad Wolf lurks behind a harmless cottage door. Lucifer schemes to open the Devil’s Gate once more. The Joker waits to bring chaos to a new, untouched Gotham. The Red Death yearns to breathe pestilence into a new ballroom. Voldemort anticipates his opportunity to strike out at a world that thinks itself rid of him at last. Dracula hungers for blood, and the sweet veins of his Mina. Frankenstein toils over a new species of monster. The villains of fiction await in the Passages Hotel. They’re contained for now to the minds of their hosts, to the doors they inhabit, the worlds they dream of tearing apart. But what will happen when that all changes? Will you be strong enough to stop them? Seeking Villains From: Batman, Superman, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Avengers, X-Men, Inception, American Horror Story, BBC Sherlock, Star Wars. |
A conjurer gets no credit when once he has explained his trick. Depending on how you looked at it, the death of Sherlock Holmes was either the end or the beginning. Shrouded in secrets and mystery, the media would be questioning the extraordinary detective and his acquaintances for ages. There were those who believed the media and the terrible things they said about him. The lies were hard to distinguish from the truth. But there were also those who knew what really happened on the rooftop at St. Bartholomew's Hospital that day, but would never speak of it. There were also some who never lost faith, who made it their personal mission to let the world know the truth about Sherlock Holmes, Rich Brook, and James Moriarty. Three groups, varying in size and cause, yet all were effected by the same fairytale. It had been a month since the great and terrible fall, and the stories and speculation about the trio had fallen in the shadow of a series of murders. Someone had been recreating the Whitechapel Murders, and Scotland Yard was baffled. The original case is still unsolved, but if the right person with the right mind were to be involved, the criminal could be caught. Jack-the-Ripper killed eleven woman; his copy had only done four when the press got involved. With a mystery such as this, would the supposed dead stay dead? Could they resist the carrot that dangled before them? Only time would tell. 221b Baker Street is an open RPG for BBC's Sherlock. The internet lives forever and travels faster than any owl, even without the help of magic. In the technology-saturated world of 2006, wizards are in danger of finding out first-hand what the consequences of that might be. It's getting harder every day for the Ministry to protect its citizens from exposure and the old tried-and-true methods haven't kept pace with muggle advancements. Without hard work, sacrifice and maybe a miracle or two, life as everybody knows it is doomed to change forever and they're running out of time to stop it. There are those who don't believe revealing magic to muggles would be such a terrible thing, however. Among them is a shadowy new group whose methods are unknown but whose motives have recently become clear. They want the Statute of Secrecy overturned, regardless of the consequences, and they aren't willing to wait forever. They've already started taking steps to force the Ministry's hand and although they seem unwilling to break the masquerade themselves, nobody knows if or when that might change. If you're not with them, you're against them - an "enemy of wizard-kind" whose name has been posted on a list of others like you. It's a list that's growing smaller as threats are made, blood is spilled and names are crossed off once and for all. | |
