Rumors say that the King's Realm is now beautiful and lush, despite what most want to believe. The order of Soul Society has stayed strangely intact for the moment, but everyone is constantly on edge for the moment it tips over. The next two years were quiet as Aizen established himself, the flow of the afterlife turned back to normal. Tousen Kaname became the elected representative of the realm to Las Noches, and Ichimaru Gin to Seireitei, while the Gotei 13 try to make up for their losses, figuring out where to fill in the gaps and pick a new Commander General. |

Checkmate is an RPG heavily based off of the Anime/Manga series Bleach (with a focus mainly on the manga). Canonly, it follows the series up to Chapter 329, whereafter the RP takes an AU-twist - Aizen has come out on top. Some characters were lost in the final battle, others barely made it out, few were spared specifically, but to what end? All canon characters are welcome, and at this time we are not accepting OCs. Even though Aizen and his crew are in charge of the afterlife, we strongly encourage survivors to challenge them. Not everyone would sit around and accept that fate. |

We all know what happens with Harry and the Trio during Deathly Hallows and a good many RPGs explore what happened at Hogwarts during this time as well. But what about elsewhere? What was happening at the Ministry and in the lives of those too old for Hogwarts? That is the question The Struggle Within will seek to answer. Any character not at Hogwarts and not part of the Trio is open for casting! We need Ministry workers, Death Eaters, Potterwatch members, Order members, as well as those who just try to keep their heads down and survive! The Struggle Within is an insanejournal-based game and will focus on plot and character development. Mods will post weekly plot points characters can respond to, and players are encouraged to plot amongst themselves, as well. We're opening with the takeover of the Ministry by the Death Eaters and the disruption of Bill and Fleur's reception, so we're going to start off with a bang! Official Start date: November 1, 2008, which in game is August 1, 1997. (Threading beforehand, to get friendships situated and such are welcome, though!) That's not all there is to it, though. A Company is trying to study these people and find out what causes their special ability, though not everyone comes out of the company. Are they trapped or are they even alive?
A power greedy serial killer is just another risk, among others.
Can these evolved humans unite to stop the terrors from rising?
Seven Minutes After Midnight is a slightly canon/slightly AU game that starts at canon time October 2006 and goes through the lives of these people. Where will their paths lead from there?

During the 1970's, the war between The Death Eaters and The Order of Phoenix raged on. People disappeared and entire families were killed by the hands of the Death Eaters and the Dark Lord Voldemort- and the Ministry of Magic stood nearly powerless to stop these massacres. The threat of pureblood society taking complete control over the Wizarding World rose, and Albus Dumbledore created the Order of the Phoenix. The blood shed and the body count between the two groups grew and grew while no progress was made on either side. A red scare ran throughout the Wizarding world; people who were even thought to be Death Eaters were convicted and killed without a fair trial.
The Dark Lord used his intelligence in the Ministry to gain what he believed would be the knowledge that would win the war. A prophecy about a child that would have the power to defeat him, and through much of his own research he discovered this child was born of Lily and James Potter. He set about trying to find the couple who had defied him three times and kill their son.
Lily and James were forewarned of the fate of their son, and managed to elude Lord Voldemort for a number of years- they did not stop living their lives. Not only did they have their son- but they also had a daughter while in hiding. They hoped the terror would stop and they would be able to return to their daily lives, it didn't. Peter Pettigrew, their secret keeper betrayed them and on the evening of October 31st, 1983- he came to Godric's Hollow to kill them.
Things did not go as planned, James Potter sacrificed his life for his family that night- and in doing so he killed Lord Voldemort. No one knows exactly what happened that night- he sent his wife and children into hiding, and as the house fell down around them they were able to barely escape and take refuge at Hogwarts until the storm could blow over.
With the Dark Lord Dead, though no body recovered- the Ministry was able to capture many of the most prominent Death Eaters and those who weren't killed were given life sentences in Azkaban- Peter Pettigrew included. The Potter's had become a famous family, and the fact that James Potter's widow was testifying made the trial a public spectacle. Some of these families were able to buy their way out of Azkaban, but their reputations were not unscathed.
The only trace of the Dark Lord was a package he left with the Lestrange family- containing a few items from the Founders of Hogwarts. There was no note, no instructions- just a few seemingly useless items.
Time went by, and the threat of the Death Eaters became something only remembered by History Books. The next generations started at Hogwarts, and it seemed that all was well in the Wizarding World.
But that was only for the time being..
The year is 1995 when Harry, Ron and Hermione return to Hogwarts to start their fifth year. No one has any idea what is in store for them.
The War has begun..

Welcome To New York's Upper East Side, Where we live and go to school and play and sleep - sometimes with each other. We all live in huge apartments with our own bedrooms and bathrooms and phone lines. We have unlimited access to money and booze and whatever else we want, and our parents are rarely home, so we have tons of privacy. We're smart, we've inherited classic good looks, we wear fantastic clothes, and we know how to party. Our shit still stinks, but you can't smell it because the bathroom is sprayed hourly by the maid with a refreshing scent made exclusively for us by French perfumers.
It's a luxe life, but someone's got to live it.

1942 is a tumultous time in the wizarding world. The Muggle War is in full swing, Grindlewald is gaining power, and Tom Riddle is about to open the Chamber of Secrets for the first time. Children and adults have to deal with the Muggle War, as well as the war that Grindlewald is waging. In Hogwarts, students and professors alike are choosing sides in wars that are ongoing and about to brew. Everyone is terrified about losing those they love and losing themselves amongst the battles being waged.
The biggest problem facing those in this time is getting through another day unscathed, mere survival, with everyone attempting to live to see a new era.
The game begins on November 15th.
