Gods of cars and computers, television and radio, cities and highways, all those things that modern Americans put their faith in. They are young, at the height of their power. These newcomers are regarded dismissively by some of the older gods, who have seen so many new deities rise and fall in their time; jealously by others, who wish to reclaim the power for their own; and by all with a deep wariness. Inspired by the world of Neil Gaiman's American Gods, this game invites players to step into the roles of deities, old and new, to create their own modern mythology. Now Open.

Students will find themselves in a setting that will be frightening, emotionally painful, and hazardous to their health at times as the Death Eaters slowly take over the school. Schooling is a significant part of every individual’s life. As you pass through the halls of your institution, whether it be Muggle or Magical, there is always a sense of familiarity, even years after you've left. When things get tough there is always that wishful thought of being back there, being a child again and having nothing more than the next Quidditch match to worry about, but what if you actually had to go back? Would it still hold the same sentimental value it did before? It's been six years since the famous last stand off of Harry James Potter and He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named and people still whisper about how Harry had come back from the dead to finish what had started so many years before. The Wizarding world has been slowly rebuilding after the destruction. Individuals from both sides of the war are starting their own families and gaining back everything they lost. For the past six years Kingsley Shaklebolt has sat as Minister of Magic over a economically and socially strong Wizarding community, but every once in a while a speed bump is bound to occur. A speed bump that will through off the peaceful structure of some individuals lives. A speed bump that, for the British Wizarding world, is long over due. As it is in most cases, such a ripple in society was caused by a mere pebble being dropped into a pond. A severe misdiagnosis brought the attention of the entire Wizarding world to the concept that a certain percentage of the population had missed out on an entire year of schooling. In order to be a registered wand carrier all Witches and Wizards must be enrolled and graduate with a particular amount of credits from a known Wizarding School. Kingsley Shaklebolt stood firm under his belief that the student population during that period had learned far more from being in the world then they would have learned from sitting in classrooms, but society did not agree. Under extreme social pressure, Kingsley folded and instituted a legislation that made it necessary for all those who were enrolled in Hogwarts during the 1997-1998 school year to complete a year of educational training in order to correct the situation. As it can be expected, this news has not created mixed feelings throughout society. The individuals who are expected to complete this year of training have lives, jobs, and families to take care of. Hogwarts has always been a place for children, but in the coming year, children and adults alike will be sharing its classrooms and learning under the same Professors. As far as the Professors are concerned, this new legislation is opening a door for an entire new set of problems.

Welcome to Sauveterre. A fictional country located between France and Switzerland with Italy bordering in the South. Highly French influenced, it gained it’s independence from that primary overseer in the late sixteenth century, and has been a peaceful country ever since. It’s monarchy is overseen by a parliament, which had been adopted from England’s example towards the late nineteenth century, which makes the royal family primarily just eye-candy for it’s people. But, now, with the late king gaining in age (though he is not, by any definition “old” or “weak”, as he would like to say so himself), the battle for the crown has commenced between daughters, sons, cousins, and friends alike. In addition to the rat-race between relatives, it’s become evident that many other countries wish to see the royal family disbanded, replaced by a democracy or a republic - leaders sending in their own ambassadors to attempt to sway the king who, even though parliament oversees his decisions, has the ultimate final say whether or not to completely strip his family of the ability to inherit the crown of Sauveterre.

Well that's all fine and dandy, but things are about to start changing. Torchwood One is reopening just outside of London and is now known as Torchwood 1.1 and Torchwood Two's leader has been replaced. Torchwood Three of course isn't any different, with the exception that Jack has been missing for a bit. The big thing is that Torchwood Four is back on the map, headed by the same person it had been before it was 'misplaced'. It seems Torchwood Four, headed by one Major Charlie Sheppard, had a minor malfunction involving Cardiff's rift. In fact, Torchwood Four is located right near Torchwood Three, or at least it was until it and its team got pulled into another universe. Which is where Lucian Devereaux comes in. It seems that he got a hold of a Time Agent's vortex manipulator in the far future and has been using it at his own pleasure. Well, until it backfired and he was sent to the present and made the rift flux, sucking Torchwood Four into it. Luckily, Major Sheppard wasn't there at the time. Now as for Lucian, he'd been jumping through time randomly and unwillingly as he tried to fix the vortex manipulator. During this time he realized that he'd jump from the present in Cardiff to some different point in time and then back. Along the way, he managed to bring back people with him who shouldn't be during that time, and that caused the rift to go haywire, also bringing people to the present that shouldn't be there: those that are dead, those who aren't born yet, and those in other dimensions. And so, Torchwood realized they needed to work extra hard to try and stop this and thus re-established Torchwood Four, somehow convincing Charlie to head it once more. And that is where we begin... Ever at the ready is a Torchwood/Doctor Who RP that allows for any character from either series (old and new) to be incorporated, as well as original characters! It takes place around the start of season two. We've only just started and we're looking for a majority of the canon cast still, including The Doctor (any of them) and most of Torchwood Three. We're also looking for bad guys and aliens to be hunted down, as well as people to fill up the other Torchwood Teams. If you think you're ready, then we're ready to have you join the team! A time when all of man will be brought down to its knees and forced to resort to their natural and primitive way of life. This is no longer a war about magic and muggle, this is pest control and elimination of all the vermin that inherit this earth. Where is your Golden boy now? Are you ready?


HPA is a dark themed game about the return of Lord Voldemort and the influence that the art industry has on society during war. The supposed dead have begun to return and the Ministry is scrambling to make sense of it, unaware that the veil is unsafe and other forms of ancient magic are at work. There will plenty for both sides of the war to involve themselves in and we aim for character development and personal interaction. We expect our members to be able to carry on their own storylines while intertwining themselves with the main plot. Interaction is fast and we're always busy. We also try to involve everyone and help people get into the story. We accept already developed story lines and people coming in groups or pairs, as well as individuals looking for something new. We accept original characters, if well developed and fitting with the Harry Potter universe. We are Deathly Hallows canon, with game canon developing as we go (making it technically AU). HPA is about fun, no harsh or nazi modding. A little bit of crack is always allowed, though we aim for thoroughness.

Far off in another universe a Planet has become a little lonely. To satisfy it's need for company, it has begun taking beings from all times and places and dumping them in the middle of a resort in it's center. The island of Niihau is one of Hawaii's best kept secrets. Family owned, but uninhabited since the late 1960's. The Anderson family had purchased it in the 40's to open a school for Wayward Girls and Boys. But lack of funds closed the doors in 1968 and the island had been uninhabited ever since. This resorted in the island being taken over by the native Hawaiian wildlife. Now it's 2008 and the island is fixed up and the school is running once again. The rules are strict, but it's only to help the teenagers better their life, and its pure genius being on an island far away from any place, and not way and no where to run.

McKenna ran away from home when she was 15, with her 22 year old boyfriend, and the two of them ended up in Miami. Little did she know, it was going to turn out to be a huge mistake. It turns out her boyfriend was the abusive type, in all senses of the word. He would hit her, tell her how insignificant she was, and when it came to sex "No" was not an option. She stayed with him for 3 years, until she was 18, and then snuck out of their home in the middle of the night...the way she had done when she left her parent's home. Now, at age 23, she is living in Los Angeles again and, unbeknownst to her, so is her ex.


I'm looking for someone to play the part of the ex boyfriend. He would, eventually, be able to sweet talk McKenna enough into thinking he had changed and make her fall for him all over again. Then, once he had her in his trap, things would go back to the way they had before. The beatings, the sexual abuse, and possibly drugs and alcohol. Because of past experiences, McKenna no longer believes she has any worth or value, so she would believe that she was only getting what she deserves and that she can't do any better than this.

A Gathering of Shadows is a role playing game inspired by and based on the pre-established world of George R. R. Martin's epic high fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire. The game takes place in 908 AL--608 years following the end of A Dream of Spring. Intimate knowledge of the fandom itself is not a requirement.

Plenty of roles remain open, including lords of major houses and a diverse selection of laypeople, knights, nobles, septons and miscellaneous castle inhabitants, as well as characters from Across the Narrow Sea. Especially sought after are the missing (and presumed dead) Prince and Queen Targaryens and the fugitive Rhaeys Targaryen, framed for the assassination of his brother the former King.
