A thousand years ago, long after the Sidhe were driven underground by the Milesians people the Witches Council, a group formed to protect the humans from the Old Ones, the Fey; Their Gods, determined that the fey were too much of a risk and they gathered all the Witches in the Great Britain nation, forming their powers as one to call upon nature to even the score and they trapped the Sidhe, the greatest of the fey, the biggest threat to humans in human form. No longer able to become pure magic, most were stripped of the ability to shapeshift. They were still strong, beautiful and immortal among other things, but the binding made them nothing better than immortal witches. Strong, but not strong enough to take their rightful places that they had owned before. Angered and unable to do anything about it, constantly wondering if a council spy was about them now they all looked human there was much infighting for some time, eventually they decided to wait. Sit and wait. They never aged, so they moved every few years as not to arouse suspicion. The Sidhe population never spread too far, even if they left Europe they almost always moved to the same area as one another. The Seelie and Unseelie courts were dissolved, making them a stronger unit as need made old grudges foolish to keep. The Witches Council, though it changed and new people came as the elders died off ever kept it’s eyes open on the ranks of the Sidhe. They knew eventually there would come a time when the Sidhe will have had enough and just plain attack. What they didn't know was that by forcing old grudges to be forgotten by the Sidhe they merged the two courts making a stronger, whole unit as opposed to two separate, quarreling units. Even bound as they were the Sidhe were growing stronger than ever before. Now as the year 2008 begins the Sidhe are finally beginning to get back what's theirs in a strong way. The bindings are breaking. The Sidhe are sick of standing idle, for they are warriors after all. They want to come back into their god granted right of being the Old Ones. The powerful ones. They are beginning to stand up to the witches, witches that never knew great power from the fey and never learnt how to use it against them. The question is will the Sidhe tear up Europe along with the Witches? Will they destroy that which they protected for thousands of years? The Sidhe are currently in Wiltshire, England. Witchbreed; An Elizabethan-Era Marvel RPG It is the Year of Our Lord sixteen hundred and two, and strange things are stirring in England. For years, the stories have circulated of the Witchbreed: young men bearing strange abilities and magical powers; folk who can fly, kill at a touch or read a person's deepest secrets simply by looking into their eyes. And whether or not the tales are to be believed, those in power are apt to look upon the unfamiliar with fear and suspicion. Spain has responded most violently: the Inquisition persecutes anybody who looks different or appears to have supernatural abilities, burning dozens of people as Witchbreed. In England, Queen Elizabeth I has remained mildly tolerent of the Witchbreed; as long as they have not troubled her people, she has not seen fit to trouble them. She has thus far turned a blind eye to the operations of Spanish national Carlos Javier, who has established a haven for the strange new breed under the guise of a selective school for the sons of gentlefolk. However, recent events have thrown England in disarray. The Queen has been assassinated by an unknown agent and James VI of Scotland has been propelled to the English throne. James, whose fear and hatred of the Witchbreed is legendary, was quick to lay the finger of blame on the creatures he so despises. He has dispatched men to capture and kill any known to be Witchbreed, and hefty rewards are offered to any who are able to identify or turn in anybody showing unexplained powers. Meanwhile, in Domdaniel, Spain, the Grand Inquisitor Enrique himself has been revealed as one of the very monsters he hunts, secretly smuggling away any who could pass for human, gathering disciples - a Brotherhood of Witchbreed. He and his followers have escaped death at the stake and fled from Spain to whereabouts unknown, leaving behind them a heightened atmosphere of fear and suspicion. The world is an increasingly unfriendly place for those who are different. Master Javier's college remains one of the few safehavens for the Witchbreed, but it seems only a matter of time before it, too, is uncovered by James' men. |
- Plot - Rules - Character List - Played-Bys - Team Info - Apply - - Contacts (F-Lock) - Advertise (F-Lock) - So we all know that Captain Jack Harkness runs Torchwood Three, that Torchwood One was destroyed in the Battle of Canary Wharf, that Torchwood Two is headed by "a very strange man" and that Torchwood Four is currently misplaced. Well that's all fine and dandy, but things are about to start changing. Torchwood One is reopening just outside of London and is now known as Torchwood 1.1 and Torchwood Two's leader has been replaced. Torchwood Three of course isn't any different, with the exception that Jack has been missing for a bit. The big thing is that Torchwood Four is back on the map, headed by the same person it had been before it was 'misplaced'. It seems Torchwood Four, headed by one Major Charlie Sheppard, had a minor malfunction involving Cardiff's rift. In fact, Torchwood Four is located right near Torchwood Three, or at least it was until it and its team got pulled into another universe. Which is where Lucian Devereaux comes in. It seems that he got a hold of a Time Agent's vortex manipulator in the far future and has been using it at his own pleasure. Well, until it backfired and he was sent to the present and made the rift flux, sucking Torchwood Four into it. Luckily, Major Sheppard wasn't there at the time. Now as for Lucian, he'd been jumping through time randomly and unwillingly as he tried to fix the vortex manipulator. During this time he realized that he'd jump from the present in Cardiff to some different point in time and then back. Along the way, he managed to bring back people with him who shouldn't be during that time, and that caused the rift to go haywire, also bringing people to the present that shouldn't be there: those that are dead, those who aren't born yet, and those in other dimensions. And so, Torchwood realized they needed to work extra hard to try and stop this and thus re-established Torchwood Four, somehow convincing Charlie to head it once more. And that is where we begin... Ever at the ready is a Torchwood/Doctor Who RP that allows for any character from either series (old and new) to be incorporated, as well as original characters! It takes place around the start of season two. We've only just started and we're looking for a majority of the canon cast still, including The Doctor (any of them) and most of Torchwood Three. The Cure didn't work. So the government decided to step in and put it up a notch. The Mutant Registration Act was finally passed. All mutants are required to carry IDs stating their mutation or they would be arrested for breaking the law. Separate prisons were built for mutant criminals. The use of mutant powers in public not only incited riots, but now carries a minimum prison sentence of fifteen days. The great activist of mutant rights, Charles Xavier is dead. Erik Lensherr is back, powerful then ever, with a new Brotherhood of Mutants behind him. The future looks like a bleak place to be for mutants, but Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters flourishes under Ororo Munroe, the new Headmistress. She, along with the mutant only known as Logan, educate the young mutants of tomorrow and provide a beacon of hope to the mutant community. There exists outside of normal time and space, a land of Madness. A place ruled by a MadGod that vanished thousands of years ago. No one knows where he's gone and some fear that he may be dead. In his absence the land grew wild, the inhabitants lost themselves to mania. At first, it was an innocent place of imagination and fantasy. A place where a small child could visit without worry. A place where people could change sizes simply by consuming food and drink. A place ruled by the Queen of a pack of cards. Wonderland. Then something changed. The mirror fractured. The world grew darker in its insanity, more twisted. More violent. The Queen became a ruthless dictator, killing all who opposed her. The Mad Hatter lost his goofy demeanor and became psychotic, experimenting on those who wandered near his home, now a Sanatorium. The landscapes of both realms twisting to suit their masters new darkened realities. The only place relatively unchanged, in appearance anyway, was the land Alice held for her own. The population on the other hand was dying out. For years this continued, until Wonderland itself began to call out for help. For you see, it knew if this were to continue, it would be destroyed. It needed someone to help, it needed its former Master to be found. So it sent out its call to those who could hear it, like Alice did long ago. And so people began to see the White Rabbit in their own worlds. People began following the White Rabbit. Wonderland is hoping, praying that someone among the new arrivals will be able to restore the land to its former glory. Will any of them be able to do it, or will they all succumb to the madness? Located just four miles out of Napa, California, The Sutton Academy has become the place for the rich (and sometimes famous) to send their children. Boys and girls come from all over the country (and in a few cases, the world), to receive a first rate education. At least, that's what the brochures say. The truth is, The Sutton Academy has become more of a 24-7 babysitter for rich kids rather than a school. The price tag is high, but it's a rarity that kids fail out, or get kicked out of Sutton, something their parents know when they sign their checks each year. |
It's 2006 and Alice is busy planning a wedding, Bella is busy trying to figure out if she's really ready for everything, Jacob is finally back home but hurting and still pinning over Bella, and Heidi is about to set up camp in Port Angeles. The Volturi are a lot more interested in Bella and the Cullens than the Cullens think. They have been debating how to go about making sure Bella is changed, and new hunting ground. The story starts a week or so before Heidi comes to America with two other Volturi members. Rachel Black comes home and everything appears to be calming down. That is until more vampires show up... Not just the three Volturi, but the Denali family come down from Alaska for a visit to the Cullen's. They want to know why they've heard rumors about the Volturi coming States side....
