A thousand years ago, long after the Sidhe were driven underground by the Milesians people the Witches Council, a group formed to protect the humans from the Old Ones, the Fey; Their Gods, determined that the fey were too much of a risk and they gathered all the Witches in the Great Britain nation, forming their powers as one to call upon nature to even the score and they trapped the Sidhe, the greatest of the fey, the biggest threat to humans in human form. No longer able to become pure magic, most were stripped of the ability to shapeshift. They were still strong, beautiful and immortal among other things, but the binding made them nothing better than immortal witches. Strong, but not strong enough to take their rightful places that they had owned before. Angered and unable to do anything about it, constantly wondering if a council spy was about them now they all looked human there was much infighting for some time, eventually they decided to wait. Sit and wait. They never aged, so they moved every few years as not to arouse suspicion. The Sidhe population never spread too far, even if they left Europe they almost always moved to the same area as one another. The Seelie and Unseelie courts were dissolved, making them a stronger unit as need made old grudges foolish to keep. The Witches Council, though it changed and new people came as the elders died off ever kept it’s eyes open on the ranks of the Sidhe. They knew eventually there would come a time when the Sidhe will have had enough and just plain attack. What they didn't know was that by forcing old grudges to be forgotten by the Sidhe they merged the two courts making a stronger, whole unit as opposed to two separate, quarreling units. Even bound as they were the Sidhe were growing stronger than ever before. Now as the year 2008 begins the Sidhe are finally beginning to get back what's theirs in a strong way. The bindings are breaking. The Sidhe are sick of standing idle, for they are warriors after all. They want to come back into their god granted right of being the Old Ones. The powerful ones. They are beginning to stand up to the witches, witches that never knew great power from the fey and never learnt how to use it against them. The question is will the Sidhe tear up Europe along with the Witches? Will they destroy that which they protected for thousands of years? The Sidhe are currently in Wiltshire, England. Many in Salisbury or Avebury. The Witches Council, are as ever, keeping watch.

- Plot - Rules - Character List - Played-Bys - Team Info - Apply - - Contacts (F-Lock) - Advertise (F-Lock) - It seems Torchwood Four, headed by one Major Charlie Sheppard, had a minor malfunction involving Cardiff's rift. In fact, Torchwood Four is located right near Torchwood Three, or at least it was until it and its team got pulled into another universe. Which is where Lucian Devereaux comes in. It seems that he got a hold of a Time Agent's vortex manipulator in the far future and has been using it at his own pleasure. Well, until it backfired and he was sent to the present and made the rift flux, sucking Torchwood Four into it. Luckily, Major Sheppard wasn't there at the time. Now as for Lucian, he'd been jumping through time randomly and unwillingly as he tried to fix the vortex manipulator. During this time he realized that he'd jump from the present in Cardiff to some different point in time and then back. Along the way, he managed to bring back people with him who shouldn't be during that time, and that caused the rift to go haywire, also bringing people to the present that shouldn't be there: those that are dead, those who aren't born yet, and those in other dimensions. And so, Torchwood realized they needed to work extra hard to try and stop this and thus re-established Torchwood Four, somehow convincing Charlie to head it once more. And that is where we begin... Ever at the ready is a Torchwood/Doctor Who RP that allows for any character from either series (old and new) to be incorporated, as well as original characters! It takes place around the start of season two. We've only just started and we're looking for a majority of the canon cast still, including The Doctor (any of them) and most of Torchwood Three. We're also looking for bad guys and aliens to be hunted down, as well as people to fill up the other Torchwood Teams. If you think you're ready, then we're ready to have you join the team! We're Currently Looking for: TOSHIKO, people for the Torchwood Teams, Civilians, Aliens, Bad Guys, other Canon characters and more! |
As it is known to mankind now when death grips a lifeform they perish and are sent into the earth where they will reincarnate into something beautiful and provide the world with the always looping circles of life and death. But, what if those always interlocking circles were bent and broken apart leaving the Valley of the Light forever separated from the Land of the Dead never to continue on the chain reactions of life, death and reincarnation. However this does leave the question: Where does one go when they die if these linked circles are torn apart? A question that has a solution only known to those who have passed on to see their new land. Enter the Netherworld. A sub-world once connected to the state of the living, the Netherworld is an area with many realms all connected to each other by strange portals. Although the Netherworld in itself is mostly a neutral land, there are certain realms that seem to be more of a threat than the others. It is true that to be in this world one must be dead and therefore shouldn't have the need for fear of any things that could be even remotely ominous - but with death comes fear and with fear comes pain. Dead one might be, food you may not need but even in the Netherworld blood and pain are as real as the living. There are four different realms joined together in the Netherworld, each one with their own creatures native to its grounds - it is up to those in the realms to decided for themselves which creatures are friend and which are foe. Judge not by their looks entirely for such things can be deceiving. Shelter can be found if you look hard enough in areas such as caves, and holes. They can even be built if one is creative enough to try. Food and drink are not necessities in the Netherworld as there is no hunger to be felt. There is only one large difference between the living and the dead carried into the Netherworld - the dead have no hearts. The similarities are as simple as if one is cut they will bleed and feel pain. Cold and warm tempuratures have effects on the dead although it is minor. Injuries sustained in death are carried over into the Netherworld as permanent scars. There is but one rule to the land that allows you to pass through realms so freely: the dead cannot visit the land of the living under any circumstances. The living may, however, visit the dead. Perhaps - if one is lucky enough to be called by the living for a meeting, that is. |

It began with prosthetics... Many people didn't think it was possible to create an artificial person, and have it perform human tasks as efficiently as someone trained all their life to do the same job. Sentient machines, Bionic Technology, and Human-like "robots" increasingly took on the less extravagant occupations of man. It was a concept that slowly made its way into the minds and lives of the world. Most notably, Japan where it flourished and was refined into a scientific art form. It was believed that one could make a unit think. And they did. They even made them feel... The year is 2025 |
As they all came together at the conference to speak about what could be done about evolution and making sure it didn't go too far and it matured naturally, she fell through the rift. A girl - no a woman - something in between. After a short span of tests it was concluded she was perfect in every way but one. She was a ticking time bomb. Almost literally. Someone or something had created her to be perfect in every way but go off and destroy everything and not on the "Peter destroy New York of Heroes" type of way.
She also had something else about her. She had angelic quality, she had qualities of every person in the room in her, a touch of everyone like she had been engineered them. With no answers from her but her name and that - for "The Doctor" was enough to shatter his world, the group raced with no time and little to go on.
Of course, in the background we also have Sylar who wants her brain and whatever beats within her, power he feels lurks there, has to, to make her so perfect, more perfect than the blood pure Claire. We also have a Dalek looking for revenge against much and willing to do anything to get it. The First Evil from Buffy wants to gets the girl on their side somehow. Donald from Dark Angel wants to recruit her and make her into the prime perfect solider ever.
All fandoms; books, movies, tv, comics, games, manga, etc are all welcome...

Located just four miles out of Napa, California, The Sutton Academy has become the place for the rich (and sometimes famous) to send their children. Boys and girls come from all over the country (and in a few cases, the world), to receive a first rate education. At least, that's what the brochures say. The truth is, The Sutton Academy has become more of a 24-7 babysitter for rich kids rather than a school. The price tag is high, but it's a rarity that kids fail out, or get kicked out of Sutton, something their parents know when they sign their checks each year. |
a canon post-deathly hallows rpg opened on february 1st It is the year 2000, just two years after the final battle at Hogwarts. The wizarding world is still rebuilding from the fall of Lord Voldemort's reign, and although many believed they would finally have peace at last, it is not to be. Death Eaters have been able to lie, cheat, and bribe their way out of being jailed in Azkaban - and some select few have reorganized in secret to continue the Dark Lord's goal. They, however, did not agree with Lord Voldemort's ways; accepting anyone less than a pureblood was hypocrisy against their cause. Not wanting their work to be confused with Voldemort's old followers, they have given themselves a new name, in honour of the Dark Lord's original cause - the Walpurgis Knights. The Knights have worked their way into the Ministry of Magic, slowly taking over until finally controlling the Minister of Magic himself from behind the scenes, manipulating him to their will. But not all was going according to their plans. Just as mysteriously as magical powers appeared in this world, so too was it beginning to vanish. Wandless magic was the first to go, and is now completely unheard of. Soon after, powerful spells began failing, but no one had thought anything of it at the beginning - powerful spells were often complicated, and therefor did not always succeed. It was after this that more severe cases began to be noticed - although more and more cases were recorded beforehand, since March of 1999, there have been no children born with magical powers, regardless of blood status. It has been discovered, however, that spells and items created with ancient magic seem to have preserved themselves, and now the race has begun to obtain these artifacts to either save the wizarding world... or destroy it. wanted characters
What would you do to preserve the wizarding world? |

Things are tense at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Rumors of Voldemort's return are being whispered amongst the students, voices hushed and nervous as the latest bit of information makes the rounds. Fear has settled heavily on many shoulders, quickly bringing uncertainty and mistrust to an already divided school. Who belongs to which side? Are there spies amongst the students? What will happen next, who will die next? Can anything be done? The school may be safe from the outside wizarding world, but are the students safe from each other? The generations-long battle between the houses hasn't gotten better, and current tensions have done nothing but elevate the rivalries to a new level. To make matters worse, an anonymous group of four girls have stepped things up, creating a vicious gossip paper that periodically and sporadically details information about their fellow students. Details that only close friends would know. Details that no one is ever happy about having shared with the entire student body. It's called Bavardage. No one knows who publishes it, or how information is gathered for it. The only certain thing about it is that it is another source of trouble and uncertainty. With the teachers seemingly unable to stop new issues from going out and the issues getting progressively nastier and revealing more secrets, the last, thin threads of trust amongst the houses are fraying quickly. Friendships are being challenged and broken, and new, dangerous liaisons are being built. The general consensus is that the girls must be stopped: but how? The purebloods are getting snobbier every year, the halfbloods are losing recognition for their minds and intellect and the muggleborns are treated as welfare cases on scholarship from the British Prime Minister. The whole student body is stuck in a downward spiral, trapped by an endless ring of rumors and lies. Libel and slander are not punishable, but instead encouraged. There's nothing more important than bringing down anyone suspected of being responsible for Bavardage. People are getting hurt, and not just by the paper. With no one able to trust anyone else and constant fights breaking out, the search for the guilty is getting nowhere extremely fast. There's war brewing, and not just outside of Hogwarts. Somewhere within the castle that is supposed to be one of the few safe refuges left in the wizarding world, four girls are playing a dangerous game with their fellow students. Will the school collapse onto itself, or will the youth of the wizarding world be able to band together and overcome the fear, distrust, and rivalries that are threatening to tear Hogwarts apart? BAVARDAGE. Will you end up on the top, or on the bottom? Application|Available/Taken Characters|Played by list|Rules|Resources|Contact List|Friend Button |

Of course I have a secret identity. I don't know a single superhero without one. I mean, who wants the pressure of being super all the time?
