RP: Melinda & Viktor's Wedding
Who: Melinda, Viktor and OPEN TO EVERYBODY
When: Saturday 25. August 2012
Where: The garden by Melinda’s parents’ house in Puddlemere
What: Melinda & Viktor’s wedding
Warnings: TBD
They had started out planning a small, intimate wedding. Just the two of them, the children, only the closest family and a small handful of their closest friends. Then they had started looking at the sheer numbers that included and other names had begun popping up. Names of people they wanted to be there, too, names of people they would feel bad about leaving out. Former team mates, colleagues, and mentors. Business associates. Neighbours. Even more family. More friends. And before they knew of it, they had a list of… at least three dozen handfuls of people they wanted to invite.
That, however, didn’t mean that they had compromised on the feel of the event. It was still every bit the two of them. With the huge tent pitched in the green and flourishing garden behind Melinda’s parents’ house in Puddlemere, they got the relaxed, yet elegant style they wanted. Viktor had asked Melinda that she didn’t make the cake, and she had admitted that she hadn’t even considered it. She knew and trusted the bakers at Sweet Nothings and had left the baking in their capable hands, while both she and Viktor had agreed that Kit would do the styling of it.
The ceremony had been beautiful and personal, officiated by a close friend. They had done the brief chat with the press that had shown up, before taking off to do the photoshoot, first the official pictures with Melinda in the long dress she had worn at the ceremony and later the more playful ones with her in the shorter dress better suited for the dinner and party.
It was a mild late-summer evening, and though people were still finishing off their dinner, the mood was already festive and high spirited.
