He was pretty sure he was right. Her mother would roll over and beg if it got her an actual grandchild at this point, he suspected. She was in excellent company with his own mother.
"Now," he found himself saying. "Or rather, tonight. Tomorrow. Soon. We've waited a long time. I don't think we need to wait any longer. We can let them have their parties later, but let's just... get started." Because it was time, he realized as he looked down at her, flushed and beautiful in his arms. He wanted to marry her. He wanted them to figure out how they would make their little family. To find a home and make it theirs.
"Perhaps I am crass enough to propose to you at someone else's wedding after all," he said softly, a little amused.
