RP: Grumps and Hospitals
Who: Calypso & Theo
What: Visiting
Where: Theo's Room
When: after this
Warnings: TBD

There had been a promise made, mostly to herself, that she would come home as soon as Theo was truly awake. True to her word, she was standing outside his hospital room before the evening was through. She was nervous to see him, she knew he likely wasn't in the best of moods, and she really hoped her ridiculous gift helped to cheer him up a little.

When she had asked Blaise if Theo needed anything, he had suggested some pajamas, and maybe something ridiculous. Calypso had picked up a pair of emerald silk pajamas that she knew was likely not exactly hospital appropriate, but they were just so soft. While she had been checking out, she had noticed a ridiculous muggle stuffed pegagus that would work perfectly for the ridiculous gift. She had put the pajamas into a silver little gift bag, but she was carrying the little stuffed animal.

It was the unicorn that was held out to him as she entered the room, she was nervous to see his hand, but she didn't hesitate as she walked up to his bed and invited herself to sit by his side. "He said he needed to be one of yours," she teased, as she set the little pegasus in front of herself next to his other hand.

"Yes, my tiny horse and my tiny tropical storm," he said with that dry edge to his voice that a lot of people took offense to. Sometimes he even wanted them to. HOwever, Callie knew him much better than most, and would know he was teasing her. Besides, he didn't know how much she wanted her animagus form to come up in a public place -- they'd never discussed what kind of secrecy she wanted about it.

"No, you can come," he said quietly, and the fingers of his only hand picked at the pills on the blanket in a nervous sort of fashion, tearing them from their native fabric and flicking them to the floor after. He didn't want to stay here, but he was also nervous about coming home. About what he cold and couldn't do.

About what he might never be able to do.

Calypso wasn't at all offended, instead she was beaming at him. She always prefered that people think of her in terms of the Goddess Calypso, but her second favorite was the tropical storm aspect. She knew she had created enough chaos and trouble in her lifetime, that it was a fitting name. "I can check on him when I leave here?" She hadn't thought of it before, and while she was sure that they were being taken care of, she knew they had to be missing Theo.

Emerald eyes fell to his hand, where he was picking at the blanket. She reached her own small hands out to cover his. "It's going to be alright, you know," she said in a softer voice, squeezing his hand. "Dora uses both, I don't see why we can't teach you to be able to do the same? I wanted to do more dueling things anyway, it'll be good practice."

A rare occurrence happened then, not only did Calypso realize she might have hurt someone's feelings, she apologized. "I'm so sorry if that was out of line."
