“Then we’ll stay right here,” Melinda agreed with a nod. “Please, feel free to Charm the chair to your liking.” Pandora’s comfort was more important than the look of her chair, and any changes could be removed afterwards.
“Now, to keep it simple, I haven’t brought over our standard cakes and fillings,” she continued as she placed an illustrated menu on the table for Pandora to use as a reference. “All of them are available for you to choose from, however…” Melinda paused for a moment as she poured a cup of tea and set that down for Pandora to sweeten or cool as she pleased – her knowledge of the other witch’s pregnancy-affected preferences weren’t that detailed, after all. “I’ve taken the liberty of preparing some of our specialty-orders-only cakes and fillings for you, based on what I know of your preferences.”
Gesturing to each of the plates in turn, she began the introduction. “This is an orange zest cake, which is similar to our regular lemon cake, but a touch more tangy. I know you’ve had to cut down on the caffeine, so I thought you might enjoy the mocha latte cake. And finally, I’ve made a marbleized cake of cinnamon and vanilla almond. I can do that with any two flavours if you prefer that, and if you want something else entirely, let me know, and I will make that for you.”
“Then we have the fillings, where I’ve brought out the cinnamand, the dulce de leche, mango, and coconut cream. You can also have fresh fruits or preserves, of course, so all you have to do is say the word, and I’ll do my best to make that happen.”
