Dora was stretched out on the couch, still a bit yawn-y from the nap she'd taken when she got home from work but feeling much better for it. Her sleep routine was odd but it was going much better since she'd set herself more limits and stricter times for napping, or at least resting. Even though she'd had a huge load this last week with a lot of complex, power-heavy custom orders, she'd actually done pretty well all considered. She was still struggling under morning sickness -- rather all day sickness, to be perfectly honest -- but the energy thing seemed to be rebounding so she wasn't the walking exhausted constantly and could actually be functional around Ewan after work.
Well, after her short nap, but he didn't seem to mind. She was still not sleeping well at night, but better than she had been. That, she suspected, would always be a problem she had.
She finally pushed herself upright and wandered into the kitchen to watch Ewan cook. She loved doing that, always had. She might be shit at it herself, but she loved to watch him. Her nerves still fluttered a bit but not on the scale of the first time they'd had Persy over to dinner. Her sister had been a rock lately and she was so grateful for her. All her core group, anyway.
Her only bump today was that her Nora was off on a fantastic trip. She was toying with making her wait a bit to find out what the baby was, though. Just to be a horrible tease. She'd see.
She came up behind Ewan and wrapped her arms around his middle, face burrowed between his shoulders. "Nom nom nom," she said, taking a deep breath and taking in the scent of him coupled with the yummy food he was making. She knew Persy would be here any second, but her sister was welcome to come in as soon as she arrived, something few enough people could say. "I'm nervous and hungry, now," she informed him, her voice full of good humor.
