Prompt 16
They had been roughly going out for seven months, and each month had become better then the first. She had smiled and told him that she loved him. It was the first time that he actually said them back to her. She had cooked dinner that night and picked at her food with the fork, simply just moving things from side to side. It was each other's looks that made it known what the other was thinking. They had gotten good at that. She had learned what each movement of his hands meant. He was nervous, and that made her smile. After dinner they retreated up to their room, in their house. She loved being able to say that. Theirs. It was hers and it was his. They were in love, so much in fact that she knew she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him, even after he tried to not fall in love with her. Sad attempt really, he stood no chance against Jess's charms and her wiley little ways. He had fallen in love with her the moment he laid his eyes on her and saw her smile.
They went into the room and she closed it behind her, giving a little look at Sam and biting her lower lip. They hadn't done this before. Jess had this night planned, she knew each and everything that she wanted to do. She wanted to make it special. Make it last. Her hand shook a little bit as she went over and kissed him in a not so cute and cuddly kind of way and Sam was caught off guard, falling back and almost missing the edge of the bed. That would have been mildly embarrassing. She couldn't help but giggle as she sat down beside him and looked at him. No words needed to be spoken as she took his hands and put them on her waist, or as they kissed and explored each other. They'd never done this before. Kissed yes, but allowed anything else? No. They were both wanting to make sure it was the right time. Sam was fumbling most of the time, and Jess just went with whatever she thought was right. So far it seemed to work. She knew that some nights he took a long cold shower, and sometimes she did the same. They just hadn't been ready. But tonight...yes...tonight was their anniversary. They skipped over the 6 month once, figuring seven months made it more worthwhile. This was the night that Jess decided she was going to lose it to Sam Winchester. He thought the same thing, but didn't voice his opinion. He never did that much, only being goofy in his own way.
His fingers were rough along her smooth skin, and hers were gentle as she lifted his shirt over his head, allowing her fingertips to trace along his back. She smiled at him and he took the cue, slowly unzipping her dress and sliding it off her shoulders. The way they made love that first time was soft, gentle and full of the worry that the other was doing something wrong. It was nice though, to not have any expectations, no doubts. It felt right and that's what was important. When all was said and done, they lied wrapped in each others arms. She gave a small sight of contentment.
"I didn't hurt did I Jess?"
"No Sam, you didn't. It was perfect..."
That made him smile. Perfect. "Every moment with you is perfect Jess...and I love you. I want to marry you someday."
"Why not ask me now?"
He blinked and smiled, reaching over into the nightstand and taking out a box, where he proceeded to slip on his boxers and drop down on one knee on the side of the bed. "Jessica Lee Moore, will you do me the honor and be my wife?"
Jessica smiled and then nodded. "I was wondering when you were going to ask me Samuel Winchester"
He blushed and then looked down, sliding the ring on her finger. She reached over and ran her hand along his cheek. "I love you Sam Winchester, and nothing will ever tear us apart."
