Kitty!Karen Strikes Again.
Who: Karen and Chris
Where: Chris' Apartment
When: Wednesday, March 30
Karen had very few friends in Vegas, even less now with her current run of bad luck in the casinos along the main stripe. Luck that had gotten to such a bad point that the blond shapeshifter found herself apartmentless and was presently crashing on the couch at Natashia's place. Which, while it wasn't a proper dwelling that most people would choose to live in, it was clean and had hot running water. It was better then living on the streets, and one of the last places Karen figured the loan shark she was indebted to would think to look for her.
Managing to get into the building that housed Chris' apartment, Karen climbed the stair in almost a run and was soon standing outside the guy's door knocking softly.
"Jeeeeesus! Hang ON!" Chris yelled, walking towards the door with half-awake eyes. Looks like SOMEBODY had been napping, eh? Anyway... just wearing baggy flannel PJ bottoms, his muscular torso exposed, the werewolf opened the door and quickly looked a bit more cheery when he saw that one of his closest friends was there. "Hey, Karen! What's up girl?"
She didn't answer verbal then, Karen simply moved in with a smile curving to hug the guy. It could be easily said that Karen was a hugs and cuddles kind of girl, mostly due to what her shapeshifting form was. "Someone's been a sleepy head." She grinned when she finally extracted herself from Chris. Not that that was a foreign thing to her, cause Karen was known to catch a catnap every now and then.
"Well... YEAH..." He replied with a laugh as he returned the hug. "Been busy as hell. Between band stuff, trying to spend time with Bella, and putting up with my drummer-slash-roommate from hell..." He smirked, kind of thankful Lacey was out tonight. Great girl... but a bit of a handful. "C'mon... make yourself at home. Tell me how you've been."
"Just peachy" She grinned stepping around Chris into his apartment. "You know if you want to nap a little longer I won't mind." And she actually she wouldn't, Karen most likely would join him, curling up in a ball at his side. That was something she never minded doing, though it often gave the wrong impression to most people if caught in such an intimate scenario.
Chris, god help him, actually BLUSHED there. "You know? Granted, we've been doing that for a WHILE and it's totally innocent but..." He laughed and ran a hand over his short hair. "I *should* explain this to my girlfriend first, make sure she doesn't get the wrong idea. You understand, I'm sure. Although you really ARE the most adorable little cat though, seriously."
"Why would she get the wrong idea?" Karen questioned with a pure look of innocence. She could never truly understand that. Why people got the wrong impression when they saw her cuddled up against someone's side. And as Chris stated it was all totally innocent regardless if she were in her usual human form or her shapeshifted form of a little kitten. People were warm and soft and quite nice to curl up against.
"I highly doubt she would, babe. I just..." He gave a weak laugh, feeling SO whipped here. "I think I found a really special girl here, and... I just don't wanna do ANYTHING that could screw it up. She's fucking AMAZING, Kar, for real."
"I wouldn't want to do anything to screw that up for you either. Got any milk?" Karen could slip quite easily from one subject to another, so easily that it took some people a moment to realize that she had moved on and wasn't just babbling nonsense about the topic they had just been chatting on.
God, she really WAS like the poster child for ADHD. Luckily it was totally endearing, at least to Chris. Plus? He was used to it by now. He simply nodded, and started to walk toward the kitchen. "Glass or bowl, kiddo?"
The only response Chris received was a soft, muffled 'meow'. As she had started following the guy toward the kitchen, Karen shifted into her kitty form. which left the kitten momentarily tangled up in the clothes Karen had been wearing. Milk, in the blonde's mind, was more easily lapped up from a bowl.
"Yeeeaaaah, pretty much what I figured." He laughed, setting a small bowl of milk down on the floor as he settled into his favorite chair. "As cute as Kitty! You is, wanna change back when you're done? Kinda hard to converse with a cat."
Kitty!Karen struggled her way out of the clothes maze to bound happily over to the bowl of milk Chris had placed on the floor. The words he spoke reached kitty!Karen as she lapped up the cool, white liquid. When she finished the little kitten, instead of shifting back, bound up onto Chris's lap and looked up a bit triumphantly at him before curling up in a ball on his lap.
"You are such a goofball...." He said with a chuckle, as he started to absently pet the little kitten's head. It really WAS true: cats could calm you down in an instant.
Kitty!Karen stayed there curled up on Chris' lap purring contently at the attention given her before she finally wandered down off his lap and shifted back to her human form. "I'll be right back." The blond flashing a playful grin over her shoulder at Chris before gathering up her clothes and disappearing into his bedroom.
Ok, so... he couldn't help it, ok? When she changed again, he couldn't help but tilt his head to watch her ass as she walked away. SUE HIM, HE'S STILL A STRAIGHT MAN, OK???
"We should go out dancing or something." Karen suggested to her friend when she stepped out of his beedroom once more fully clothed. It was better then sitting around Chris' apartment.
"You are SO totally and completely ADHD, woman. You do know that, right?" Chris laughed, although he was getting his boots back on while saying it. "Luckily you're too adorable to turn down."
"But you love me regardless, right." Karen smiled ever so sweetly to the guy as Chris put his boots back on.
"Of course I do." He said, all sweetness and no... sexuality implied. "You're one of my best friends, Kar. Plus, who ELSE do I hang out with that I can slip some catnip to and watch them run around in circles for 45 minutes?"
"And you wonder where I get that ADHD you keep mentioning." Karen commented back with a smirk as she started for the door. Karen actually loved those times, and the short span of time following that had left her in a kind of a high after Chris had slipped her some catnip. As drugs were to drug users, catnip was to Karen if ingested while she was in kitty form.
"Sure, sure... blame me for your love of shiny objects." He laughed, grabbing his wallet and slipping it into his back pocket. "C'mon... let's go hit the club. Drinks are on me tonight."
