October 1
Qudditich Match: Hufflepuff vs. Gryffindor.
October 2
After five days in custody, Luca Guidice is released on account of little evidence. The Daily Prophet reports this, and ensures that the Ministry still has the investigation under control.
October 3
In regards to the student incident on September 23rd where a Terry Smith was questioned by Ruddock for speaking against him openly in his journal, journals are examined in detail. A list is publicized in all journals with names of those who could have possibly spoken against ministry decree. Anyone who is on the list will be given warnings through owl. After three violations and three warning owls in total, severe consequences by the ministry will be taken, that of which wasn’t detailed in the decree. Aurelia Jones is not happy about this and complains about it publicly in her journal. Later that night, the student appears on the list and receives a first warning through owl.
A torrential rainfall starts at lunch time, and continues on and off until the seventh.
October 4
The Daily Prophet releases a whole spread about Nobby Leech, commemorating his history and achievements.
October 5
On their prefect rounds, Prefect One and Hestia Jones catches a group of third years sneaking out towards the direction of the kitchen. Prefect One accuses them of vigilante action, but Hestia Jones insists that they were just sneaking out for snacks and sends them back to their common rooms with nothing but points taken off. Prefect One and Hestia Jones start arguing and end up being caught by Professor Chastain who takes points from and sends both prefects to detention.
October 6
A Muggle newspaper reports a male body found in the East end of London. The reports states that the cause of death has been declared ‘unknown’ after a autopsy. The Daily Prophet fails to report on such, despite the obvious involvement magic took in the death. Teddy Boot is informed of this by his/her parents, and soon enough the news spreads through Hogwarts. And, despite Ruddock’s officals’ attempts to track down who started the rumor, the student goes without punishment.
October 7
After the Prefect incident on the 5th, Professor Chastain approaches Dumbledore about re-educating the student authority especially with the current rule of Ruddock and the Vigilante Regime. Chastain emphasizes that it will help promote a better image for a ministry friendly student authority. Dumbledore reluctantly approves this workshop. The same night, all student authority receive an owl about a Vigilante Regime Workshop led by Professor Chastain herself on October 13 at 8 P.M. at her Arithmancy classroom.
October 8
Taking advantage of the fine day, Four students decide to start a touch rugby match after breakfast. Fascinated by the muggle sport, a crowd gathers - both wanting to spectate and play. Almost everyone gets involved, and a variety of games get played. By afternoon, things get a little competitive, and Siobhan O'Callaghan and Dorcas Meadowes captain teams, getting slightly arrogant as they pick their team members. Student Three starts taking bets on the sidelines. Siobhan O'Callaghan’s team comes out the winner.
By the end of the day, everyone is muddy, especially Bethany Diggory who slipped in the mud, bringing down Adam Abbott, and Peter Pettigrew sprains his/her ankle. Things don’t wrap up until just before dinner, but they day proved to be a bunch of harmless fun. At dinner, despite Flinch’s complaints about the mud in the Entrance Hall, Dumbledore awards each house ten points for house unity, and proving to each other that students from different houses can work on the same team.
October 9
In seventh year Arithmancy, Student one, Student Two, and Student Three are incredibly restless the whole lesson, discussing the rumor that spread on the sixth. Furious, Professor Chanstain, unfairly, gives the whole class dentention at the end of the day.
Full Moon.
October 10
At tonight’s Charms Club meeting, all members including Professor Flitwick attempt an experimental charm that helps manipulate voices, only to find out the after effects of the spell at the end of the meeting when all of their voices are squeaky. Unable to find an anti-spell to the new charm, the members retreat back to their houses and attend classes the next day with the same chipmunk-like voice.
October 11
With his voice affected by the squeaky after effects, Flitwick gets much too frustrated that he gives detention to Severus Snape and Thaddeus Selwyn for making fun of his voice during class.
After owling the ministry throughout the day, Professor Flitwick finally receives the anti-charm for the squeaky after effects of the voice manipulation charm. He calls together the affected Charms Clubstudents at his office that night after classes to turn all their voices back to normal.
October 13
At breakfast, Dumbledore announces the Halloween Event. By the suggestion of the Prefects, this year’s event will be a Masquerade Ball. The event will be held on Friday, October 27th.
Prefect Workshop held by Professor Chastain at 8 P.M. in her Arithmancy classroom. The meeting goes for approximately three hours.
October 14

First Hogsmeade Weekend.
October 16
After dinner, Some of the Hogwarts Ghosts hold a Halloween story telling session in the library.
October 19
Hestia Jones and Dorcas Meadowes completes the first issue of Hogport (Details posted in the OOC closer to date). Four Students are approached by Hestia and Dorcas to help distribute them amongst the student body discreetly.
October 20
By evening, copies of Hogport are in the possession of students in Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff. Two of the reports include the disappearance a Muggleborn, Ravenclaw ‘75 Graduate, Michael Thacker, and the burning of a Muggle orphanage. (With more TBA in the OOC comm closer to date). Enclosed in the paper is an editorial message, explaining the purpose and aim of Hogport as well as the importance to keep it from authority figures, and untrustworthy students.
October 21
Quidditch Match: Gryffindor vs. Slytherin.
At dinner, Sirius Black makes all the food at Slytherin’s table explode once dessert is served.
October 28
Halloween Masquerade Ball.
Around 11 P.M., Cynthia Flint, Sullivan Macfusty, and Callidora Nott attempt to pull of a prank. Killing all the lights, the pranksters echo screams throughout the Great Hall. It causes incredible terror throughout the student body, and everyone breaks into a run before the rest of the staff even have time to take in what’s going on. Dumbledore is nowhere to be found.
Ministry officials come into the scene as everyone recovers in the Entrance Hall. Benjy Fenwick, Greta Catchlove, Daniel Edgecombe, and Elizabeth Vance are injured in the stampede and are escorted to the Hospital Wing. Dumbledore comes back in time for Ruddock’s arrival later that night. Ruddock himself announces that vigilante action is what occurred in Hogwarts that night and that whoever caused the screams shall be put into ministry custody. But with all students being in masked, Dumbledore insists that there is no way of knowing who and that this was merely a harmless prank. A disgruntled Ruddock leaves the scene warning students that the ministry does not tolerate any pranks and goes on on a speech about his regime before a ministry official stops him and without word, him and his officials depart from Hogwarts.
October 29
The Daily Prophet releases an article in the morning about an attack that occurred in the wizarding town of Puddlemere the same night of the Masquerade ball. Two vigilante groups were involved, however, the article doesn’t state what type of group, but merely states that there were wizard casualties. Lucy Dawson’s Family is one of the family’s affected (*Up to student’s player if death or injury of family is involved).
