"Of course you'd have to help me decorate!" Padma said with a little shake of her head. The elder twin was hardly good at figuring out which colours went with what and how to actually make everything look good in the end. Parvati was the master of that and Padma was more than willing to concede to this. Besides, Parvati knew Padma better than anyone else could and thus would pick out nice and tasteful items to decorate the flat with. "Mum and Daddy need to stop living in the stone age. I mean, I know a lot of women my age who live on their own. It's not such an uncommon thing, not nowadays."
Grasping the wine glass in one hand, Padma sighed before she took a sip. "I dunno. I want to go far with my career and how can I do that when men these days are severely disappointing me? None of them would want me working if we got married and...well...I don't want to give up my work. It means too much to me and I'm stubbornly refusing to let go of it." There was a pause before she added, "Not that it's a bad thing, I just feel, to me, that it's an important part of me." Honestly, where would she be without her work? Padma needed something to keep herself busy and to feel accomplished about when the day was finished and work did just that. She took another long sip from her glass, swishing the contents of it around in her half-full glass. "Maybe someday but I don't see anything happening anytime soon. Unless you could pull a man who's halfway decent from up your sleeve," She teased lightly at the last bit.
