Tonks pouted playfully as he took the baby from her, though part of her really did suddenly feel like some very important part of her was missing. During her maternity leave, she'd held the baby as much as humanly possible, though Remus also got his fair share in as well. Going back to work had been difficult - even now, it still was - and when she got home, the only thing she wanted to do was to spend time with Remus and hold Max. She knew it was maternal instinct and she couldn't help it, but she did still feel a bit guilty upon occasion for Remus' sake.
"Putting him in the nursery then?" she said, rolling off the bed and standing. She was still wearing clothes from earlier that day. "You know, it'll be brilliant if there was enough profit to justify opening another store within the next few years. Have you considered that?"
Sliding her arm around his waist, she nuzzled the crook of his neck and then bent down to drop a kiss on top of Max's head. "I think your daddy's trying to tell me that it's night-night time," she said in a very serious voice. Max blinked sleepily up at her, then promptly closed his eyes and stared snoring again.
