Removing the top of the box, Daphne uncovered a green pendant. "It's lovely, Tracey. Thank you." She had always been rather partial to the green and silver of her Hogwarts house.
Daphne refrained from mentioning Tracey's less than proper behavior. Drinking in excess was never flattering for a lady of Tracey's stature, but she supposed there were times when exceptions must be made for everyone's behavior. After all, Daphne had dated a drug addict for a good while. And she had invited said married drug addict to her home in a fit of despair not too terribly long ago. Surely it wasn't proper behavior to invite a married man to come over alone, but emotions did silly things to people.
"I find it hard to believe the two of you are related these days," she mused, daintily pouring herself a cup of tea. "It seems she's lost all her senses, doesn't it?" She glanced up with a small smile. "Tea?" she offered politely.
