Who: Hannah Abbott and Open
Where: The Leaky Cauldron
When: Dinner time.
What: Hannah gets some food after finishing an afternoon of shopping.

Hannah loved shopping. It was always a pleasure to walk into a store, look at the racks of new clothes, and then take a turn in front of the mirror. The only problem was that she couldn’t afford to do it as much as she would like, and therefore was often forced to stare longingly in front of store windows rather than actually perform a purchase. Not today though. After receiving her paycheck, she was able to do as she pleased. After everything she had been through in the past few months, Hannah felt as though she deserved it.

So, with most of her afternoon off, Hannah had converted a portion of her money into Muggle money and wandered into London. She purchased three new outfits for work, debated getting a new pair of shoes, and was almost talked into buying one of those televisions after she had been caught watching a program in the window. She even bought something called salt - no - pepper spray that the clerk explained would temporarily blind an attacker. It seemed like a good idea if she were to ever find herself without magic again.

Overall, it had been a very successful outing and Hannah was quite pleased with everything she had accomplished when she finally wandered back into the Leaky Cauldron. Deciding, that she was too tired to cook for herself that evening, Hannah seated herself at the counter, placed her bags in the seat next to her, and ordered a bowl of soup.

Sally Anne was already present, munching on an early supper seeing as Christopher had mentioned being home late. As the Warringtons could hardly afford a proper elf, Sally Anne was quite capable of cooking, but she really preferred not to.

So she sat at the counter, by herself, talking a bit with the waitress she'd come to be acquainted with. The waitress suddenly nodded quite pointedly to an individual behind Sally Anne and the woman turne her head. Another victim. She bit her bottom lip thoughtfully and then tried to catch Hannah's line of sight.

Hannah thanked the waitress as the soup she had ordered was placed in front of her before picking up a spoon and taking a bite. It was good, not near the perfection she thought the chefs at Bella’s Pockets created, but then again she might be a bit biased. It was when she reached for the salt and pepper shakers that she noticed Sally Anne attempting to catch her attention.

“Sally Anne, hello,” greeted Hannah with a bright and slightly forced smile before sobering slightly. It was harder to forget about what had happened to her when face to face with someone who had been right there with her. “How are you?”

"I'm doing well, just dining a little early today after a disappointing day of shopping." She didn't bother to add they could hardly afford anything right now. After all, she did have some kind of image to keep up.

Sally Anne indicated to the seat next to Hannah. "Mind if I move over?"

She'd been dying to talk to someone- anyone- after that experience and now she could feel the subject about to bubble over. Everyone seemed to just want to ignore the experience. Sally Anne wanted to accomplish something.

“Oh me too,” said Hannah. However small it was, Hannah was actually quite pleased to find that they had something besides the kidnaping in common. It helped to distract her. “I needed some new outfits for work. I looked in my closet the other day and realized that I had hardly anything decent left to wear.” Despite not working directly in the kitchen, she still managed stain or burn her work clothes beyond repair on a semi-daily basis. It was rather annoying.

Hannah nodded. “Yes, of course. Just let me move these.” She grabbed the bags from the chair next to her and moved them to the floor. “Here you go.”
