Who: Padma Patil & Aidan Chambers.
Where: Malfoy Manor.
When: September 8th. Evening.
What: Padma needs a friend. Aidan needs distraction and they both need to study.

Aidan appeared in front of the gates of Malfoy Manor with a sound like a small explosion, still a bit uneasy from Apparating. Of course, the fact that he was about to enter Malfoy Manor - a place that housed nothing but a variety of monsters and nightmares in his all-too vivid imagination – didn't exactly help to calm his nerves.

He took a deep, steadying breath, pressed his books to his chest in a gesture that warned everyone not to mess with a man who was carrying books and tentatively tapped the gates with his wand (which was a rather interesting thing to witness, given the fact that Aidan did a most peculiar job of simultaneously balancing the pile of books with his other arm).

"'ello? Is anybody there?"

Of course, Padma had been waiting and watching for Aidan from the front parlour. As soon as she saw him apperate, she was out the door, waving her wand in a swift flishing movement so they opened upon command. "Oi, no need to be shouting so loud. You'll wake the peacocks," Padma commented dryly, her eyes drifting to the albino birds in question, rolling her eyes at all the fruff and general nobility that Narcissa Malfoy still held in high regard. Padma didn't need high fences or birds that made her look fancy-- she was just fine as she was and had been perfectly content in her own flat. Of course, she saw reason now for staying here but that didn't make her any less irritable.

"Need some help with those?" Her brow quirked lightly as she saw the balancing act he did with the books. Of course, she didn't wait for a proper answer, grabbing the top four from his stack, making it a bit more even and easier for him to handle. "C'mon then, it's chilly out here."

"Hey, Pad...peacocks?!?" Aidan gave Padma an incredulous look. Did the Malfoys hold a bloody zoo in here? Were there other animals, too? Flamingos, perhaps?

Aidan shook his head and decided not to waste his time trying to understand the Pureblood society as he nodded gratefully at Padma as she took some books from him. "Thanks. This all is certainly...pompous. Made ter impress, huh?"
Feeling the chill far too well himself, Aidan quickly followed Padma into the Manor, doing his very best not to gawk. In contrast to what he was used to (and that made the Burrow look like a first class hotel) this was out of this world.
