Following Narcissa into the parlor, Hermione thought the best way to approach this. "Thank you," She said, sitting down. Holding the teacup and saucer in her hand, Hermione took a small sip before starting.
"The headlines are on my mind, Mrs. Malfoy. The recent events concerning Death Eaters, or Renegades as they are supposedly now called. The magic loss, kidnappings, ransoms, threats, and all of them connected, committed by the same persons. It's clear that something is starting up. I'm here because you are the only person, that is not a Death Eater, who I believe could possibly have answers, or any knowledge at all." Hermione put her tea down. "As someone who lived through and took part in an extremely trying war, I can confidently say that one war was one too many. I'm sure you can understand where I'm coming from, as someone who has lived through two wars." She took a breath. "I don't expect you to tell me any information you may know, especially since it would likely put you in danger, but I was hoping, possibly, for understanding. For, at least, a direction because my loved ones are being threatened, I am being threatened, and I simply cannot stand by and allow it."
Realizing how much she had just said at once, Hermione stopped herself and allowed room for the other woman to speak. She had tried to be as to the point as possible while remaining polite and courteous.
