That was what Christopher was afraid of: dates. It reminded too much of those awkward meetings his parents tried to set up between him and various potential wives, wherein Christopher spent most of his time trying to keep a conversation going and the girl being all quiet and generally uncooperative. He likened to think that this might turn out different, since both parties were married, but Christopher, even the realist, could already see the business-like attitude that Draco and, therefore, he will sport with a side helping of forced interest from the ladies. At some point, the force that was Parvati Malfoy had to falter, and Christopher thought it will be beyond that line of double-dating. He feared to cross it.
"What about Draco? Shouldn't you get his thoughts on this first?" It was a low blow, Christopher winced, and he knew it. However, desperate times called for desperate measures.
